Wales women get equal pay on 17:33 - Jan 18 by ReslovenSwan1 | Oh look you've turned Scouse. Where is you Wirral buddy? Its much much better up there. People are a lot more sophisticated apparently. So what other women world wide can play for two different national sides over the same period of time. Remember it is about equality. Lord Coe said it was OK that should be good enough for the little people. |
How on earth is this clown tolerated on here, ruins every thread on here

Wales women get equal pay on 20:14 - Jan 18 by Sirjohnalot | Reason I’m talking about sausages is that has as much to do with the thread than GB. It’s simply about the women’s game being promoted and the men helping in giving them equal status, |
But they aren’t equal in status. It’s pandering garbage. I long for the day they take money off the women in any of the multitude of industries they get paid more in (deservedly so) in order to give the men more money. Just to see the reaction from the simps and the liberals. I can hear it now… “this is oppression”, “holding women back”, “the patriarchy”, “women deserve the extra money they bring in”…. Etc etc etc They will be furious. Although they will have to make a decision on what they value more, hating men or socialism. Giving men more money but also as a result having another industry of socialism style pay would be a tricky internal battle for them.

'Clown' another one fr the collection. I have pointed out that only UK women can play football for two national teams concurrently under FIFA rules. No women else anywhere in the World can do this. The women in my opinion should pick a nation and stick to it like everyone else does. This means a Welsh FAW player chooses Wales or Team GB. One or the other not both. If they have a new contract then perhaps this is stipulated if it is legal. Others are talking about sausages but you have no issue with them. If we do not do it hostile states will do it for us. Apologies , although there is a tenuos link between the two in that the filling utilises meat (typically beef), or fish in Yorkshire, mashed up with potato, herbs, and sometimes onion .

I had a meeting at the FAW about 15 years ago. It was £10,000 call up fee back then, not sure if it’s changed. So assume the women got £5,000, and the men have now sacrificed £2,500 so they all get £7,500.

That's not a bad little gig if you can get it, be nice if they just paid travelling and living expenses, then invest the rest in grass roots sport. Quite scandalous when I think of it, hugely wealthy footballers getting paid large sums to represent their country. It doesn't sit quite right with me.

I suppose it’s a job at the end of the day. Risking their health and earning potential every-time they play, I have no particular issue with it. Does appear odd when people like Freddie Eastwood and Jermaine Easter retire from intetnational football though, you would think they would take whatever pay day they can get.

They'd be insured against injury or loss of earnings. Its just grass roots football is in a pitiful state, not just a lack of investment but a shift in social behaviour. As you say good luck to them.

Wales women get equal pay on 11:09 - Jan 19 with 596 views | ReslovenSwan1 | This means on fag packet maths the FAW have to cough up £100,000 per game plus. This is a big wedge for the FAW. The recent game at CCS f got 6,500 i recall. Probably at £5. £32,500 so even a big match has a £65,000 deficit. It will cost approaching £1m pr year to subsidise. People will be pushing to get Swansea Ladies professional and incorporated into the club fully . That will also need subsidising. There could be a situation where Swansea are competing with Millwall for a player and getting out bid. MillwalL ladies team disconnected and went independent.

UK have four FIFA registered teams and have been four separated teams for a around 100 years. In 2012 supported by the Tory Government Wales Scotland an Northern Ireland were bullied into providing players for Team GB. They were assured it was a 'one off'. FAW advised their players not to join. Five joined against the wishes of the FAW led by Bellamy and Giggs as overage players. Some Tories put big pressure on the Manager Pearce to pick David Beckham. This was political interference. Despite the agreement made in 2012 a women Team GB team appeared again in 2020 Tokyo. I think one Welsh player was deemed good enough. Team GB is therefore 'an entity'. It exists. Mr Infantino has given Team GB his blessing to maximise commericial income and will allow British players to play for both Team GB and the four separate unions at the same time. This is unprecidented. So as a result of the team GB there are 5 teams coming form on nation The United Kingdom. Lets consider the Russian FA or Belarrussain FA and their friendly football associations in Africa want to make trouble. "These people have their cake and eat it". They already have four teams and now they want five. Typical of the English imperialists. Merge them and be done with it" What if they say UK can only have the one team they already have Team GB. Infantino might say no but they could push through a motion to make it happen. It is then down to the votes. The Welsh, Scottish and N. Irish FA's will be done for and merged into the new HQ St Georges Park. It does not bear thinking about. If there is no team GB their arguement is weakened. The Women's Team GB is a 'trojan horse' and part of a political plan to undo devolution. I do not even watch the Olympics anymore. London 2012 was the dirtiest games in history.

I will not accept being bullied. or pressured. The subject is welsh women footballers and their pay. Others wanted to lark about. Why not? . I was asked a specific question and answered it in good faith. Talking about equal pay as a thread that is very very dull. Equal pay is good. Well done the FAW. That is it. Only Dr P will argue against it as a forum favourite with a sometimes contrarian view points. Most thread deviate into new and interesting avenues. This is the beauty of forums. I have not been warned by the forum administrators. I have indeed started my own threads. What is the subject anyway. Welsh women get equal pay. The subject is Welsh women footballers. If the equal pay comes to Swansea city the club is up the creek. I have raised the point that our rival Millwall have no women's team,. This would mean that Millwall would have twice the wages and twice the transfer budget.
