It was quite comical at the end.
Lancs were rushing to bowl until DL was in our favour with 4 overs to go.
Durham meanwhile reigned in aggressive shots as they knew DL would swing against them if they lost another wicket
Lees who had batted brilliantly finally had to go for it as equation was against, as the ball went up the rain started, by the time it was caught the heavens had opened.
Still can’t quite believe we won that one.
Luke Wells should be first name down on the team sheet.
Somehow we are top with a super tight group - top 4 do indeed go through but being top 2 is massive help as at home in the quarters. |  |

Who would have thought that batting Livingstone at three rather than eight might be a good idea? The whole team selection has been strange this season. No real consistency and even looking at last night's game they look a bowler light. Without Glesson and Mahmood the seam bowling looks light, as Bailey and Williams are not really white ball bowlers and Blatherwick is really depth at best. De Grandhomme has flattered to decieve and looks to be at the end of his career.
It is a real shame that Mahmood looks to have a reoccurance of his back injury. The whole Parkinson situation is really strange and there must be more to it. He was a mainstay of both limited overs teams and contributed in most championship matches. Lancs successful whiteball strategies have utilized two spinners, but now Wells has taken on the Parkinson role. Lamb leaving at the end of the season makes sense for both parties. Lamb is 27 and needs regular game time. Balderston has replaced him in the red ball team and Aspinwall should play in the 50 over competition. |  | | |
