How many times have several people complained of slow, predictable football? Someone even posted that it was walking football. We don't break the lines, we don't get in behind, we allow the defence plenty of time and give plenty of notice of what we will do and so we are easily defended against. We are so careful it's painful, in attack at least. At the rear we are dangerously cautious and cause ourselves problems, inviting teams on to pressure us. We won't take chances in attack but constantly do in defence, it's the wrong way around.

Vigouroux error and again the Swans fail to score on 18:54 - Oct 26 with 2387 views | max936 | Ref was shocking clear penalty not given and a red card not given when it was a clear 2nd yellow, they behaved in the 2nd half, but kicked smoke out of us in the first half, Ref was quick to give us a yellow in 2nd half for what looked like an innocuous challenge. Exactly this. Williams is a lucky boy. Most people are so obsessed with ownership he's getting a free ride for his own inadequacies. People can grumble about squad depth all they like, but this style of play is on him and him alone.

We agree. That was down to him. Today Sheff Weds we’re actually worse and deserved to be out to the sword Millwall have at least spunk Many of ours have had the fight driven out of them

Sequel after sequel and the script writing gets worse. I wish they’d make a prequel going back to 2012.

However he sets us up, he’s got to do it without a credible striker. Of course he has to take his share of the blame for the longest run without a goal for 30 years, but it’s pretty obvious who is most culpable, to all but the agenda driven.

I think Williams has sucked the confidence out of the squad. We are in an entertainment business and entertaining we are most definitely not.

Football is not in the entertainment business it is a sport It has supporters not audiences When the Swansea senior league was at its peak was it there as entertainment? Is cricket entertainment? The introductionnof Sky has turned the sport into "entertainment "......yes we want to see entertaining footbLl but at the end of the days its about results. Some folk on here called Martins football entertaining early doors despite its lack of results.

We have bought too many League 1 level players over the last few years. Some have worked, most haven't. The way we are going, these players will be playing at their right level next season. [Post edited 26 Oct 21:53]

People can bip about the forward players as much as they like, but it's blatantly obvious that the team is being sent out to play safety first, possession based football. Maybe he doesn't have faith in his forwards, but if we carry on like this it's going to become a self fulfilling prophecy. It's beyond laughable at this point that people are continuing to act like our main creative midfielder spending most of his time hanging around in our own defensive third where he is doing little but tediously recycling possession is somehow Vipotnik or Bianchini's fault. Williams should be screaming at him all game to get the hell out of there. That he doesn't, hasn't dropped him for it and indeed has gone on the record to praise him suggests that he's fine and dandy with it. Add Grimes to the list of players who have regressed since January. In his one full season as a manager outside non-League Williams oversaw Swindon's relegation from League One, scoring less than a goal a game in the process. He's got form. [Post edited 26 Oct 21:47]

Won promotion out of non-league with a budget second only to Wrexhams. The second season in League Two he was playoffs with the worst defensive record outside the bottom three when we acquired him. "Attractive, attacking football" can easily become gung ho nonsense when the opposition improves, or at least has a comparable budget. Started off here conceding a metric shedload of goals. Has tightened that up but clearly has absolutely no idea what else to do but adhere to his mentor's playbook and possess the hell out of the ball. I mean, it was 0-0 in the 78th minute and we took off our last striker. What kind of idiot does that? [Post edited 26 Oct 22:09]

Vigouroux error and again the Swans fail to score on 06:50 - Oct 27 with 1410 views | jack247 | Some seriously agenda driven posts on here We haven’t scored for five games. Of course Williams is accountable for that and of course it’s his job to get the best out of the resources he’s got. He’s not coming close to doing that attacking wise at the moment. It’s not his fault that he’s only got two strikers and neither of them would make the bench at most championship clubs. Nor that he hasn’t got a #10 or anyone likely to chip in with a few from midfield. Grimes is certainly culpable of being risk averse. He’s got the best passing ability at the club and he’s too conservative with it. Pretty much always has been and it holds him and us back. Nothing wrong with him splitting the centre backs when we’re playing it out. You’d prefer him on the ball to either of them and it allows Key and Tymon to push wider abd further forward. We invariably cross halfway, usually through the fullbacks and allow them to start building an attack. How Grimes can be blamed for Vipotnik being static and only coming alive when the ball is played to his feet I’ll never know. In the cold light of day, the run we are on is embarrassing and has to stop soon. Also, Milwall, much like Sheffield Wednesday and a couple of others were a very average side. We did, however, play better yesterday than we have in ganes we’ve won and drawn this season. Seventeen shots with five on target, seven blocked and twenty touches in their box is nowhere near as ultra defensive as some are making out. We lost because of three arguable penalty shouts, two good saves from their keeper (Vipotnik and Key) and a last minute howler from Vigaroux. Not digging him out. He’s saved us more points than he’s cost us, it’s just what happened.

Having only 2 strikers has to be his fault to some extent. We spent £4M on two strikers in 2023, now both of those are out on loan. They were both sent out before we brought in Vipotnik on a free. Arguably, neither if them coukd be doing any worse. If he has no say in these decisions then it would make his position untenable. As a football manager, one good season can set you up for life. A bad season and you may never be heard from again. If Williams has so little say that they ship out all of his strikers against his wishes, then he'd have been better off walking away
