“ Hilarious” it is not
Instead of being angry with those responsible , we insult ourselves

We cannot play possession football
At least not at speed

We are weak all over the place

Matos has our best wishes and hopes

He must have learned

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

When you look at Coventry this evening, balls dropping for them, fifty fifty balls being won and goal scoring opportunities being taken by players putting in effort. We are worlds away from this standard including the luck teams on this sort of run get or deserve. We have no balls dropping for us, no real opportunities from the many created not even a jammy one just like a Coventry. had tonight. I can’t see a win coming. We are as toothless a side in a white shirt I’ve ever seen in years.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

Commentator just said that we haven't got a plan B he's spot on, we just keep doing the same thing and Derby are finding it easy to defend.

We haven’t hot a plan A

The old saying says ‘ you make your own luck ‘,we are miles off Coventry
Coventry play forwards and quickly ,we play sideways and back and slowly
We’ve got to stop the tedious overplaying and get back to basics , defensively and offensively ,
Coventry also pick their strongest 11 ,we don’t even seem to know ours
Matos has a big job ahead,we’ll see what he can do when he’s had a proper chance to work with our squad and get them playing his way , no midweek game next week let’s hope he can work on them

I don’t think we have a leader, and definitely don’t want one who constantly complains to the board and then works a move away because he has given up on the club that made him.

Lets be honest if Franco had started instead of Cullen there would still only have been two of the summer signings starting.

Who picked that team tonight,we can only hope it wasn’t Matos
Cullen ,Fulton and Key would not get into any other championship teams starting 11 so why ours

Sideways and back doesn’t win football games, we take so long farting about at the back all our forward players are marked out of the game …. 2-0 down 10 mins to go…. Sideways and back ,chances to put a free kick or cross in ..No … sideways and back
Every Swansea fan in the ground could see it wasn’t getting us anywhere, Why can’t the people in the dugout see it
The first Derby goal , our wide players didn’t even notice the Derby right back was in so much space to put the ball into the box , Key was near our 18 yard box , Ronald was in the centre circle , no one even looked until he got the ball took his own sweet time and played a cross in that they scored from
This goal kick nonsense has to stop ,it’s like the chuckle brothers ..to me ,to you , only it’s not funny , the ball ends up being lumped upfield anyway ..well,eventually
Derby weren’t that special but we gave them the game so cheaply without so much as a whimper

Ronald can’t beat a man ,can’t cross the ball
Benson comes on for him and he can’t beat a man or cross either,he played every ball bar 2 backwards, when he finally did cross a ball we scored, he’s a complete waste of a shirt, surely Parker would be a better option even for Key who continues to build his liability mantle

I hope Matos can shake things up because it can’t get any worse than tonight’s showing , well hopefully it can’t

I’d have thought Matos would have taken advice or even let Leon and Joey pick the team because I suspect he doesn’t really know a lot about the players.

I’ve just got back from the game, very disappointing effort. Totally agree with your comments about sideways, backwards and farting around. There was very little urgency, very little attacking intent and this triangle ********s trying to play it out of defence has to stop, the whole concept of triangles is pass and move in to space to receive the ball back and that’s not something the Swans players seem able to do, they just pass it around and invite pressure which inevitably comes when they lose the ball.

Ronald had a tough night at the office, he was invariably receiving the ball from short passes which were slow and late and usually when the defender was crawling all over him. He has pace, but didn’t have the physicality to be able to hold off his marker, so under these circumstances playing balls to his feet is ineffective. The midfield need to play the ball early behind the defender so he can run on to it, but when they’re doing the aimless tiki taka @@@@ it’s a complete waste.

Based on tonight, there’s a real chance of being relegated.

Anyone else feel flat and depressed after that? His post match was honest and didn't hide from anything. He has had 48 hours and we saw glimpses of what he wants. It's gonna take time and more pain before anything changes.

However much the above is true. I still feel mega depressed lol

I suspect/hope that given the quick turnaround of matches since joining he will use his first two games to look at as many players as he can to assess the squad so wouldn't be at all surprised to see a raft.if changes on the weekend. Unfortunately, if it is the case... The players playing tonight didn't get the memo that they were potentially on trial.

I'm the last person to stick up for Josh Key, but the goal was down to Ronald being hopelessly out of position

Key was in the CB position for the second goal lol

I want to know what Joey and Leon were thinking with that starting eleven. Will this manager be allowed to bring in his own coaches?

A fairly encouraging first 30-35 minutes where we played the game at a decent pace and probably deserved to be level at HT. Went to bits after the break, even more so after the subs.

Stamenic offers us nothing that Fulton didn't already and based on tonight is worse at it. Benson was even worse. Franco struggled to get into the game and as a mate of mine pointed out, often does when he doesn't start. Easily Cabango's worst game for us too.

Lots of work for Matos to do. Finding someone to take Cullen on loan should be fairly high up that list.

I think the first 30-35 minutes of Matos ball knackered them out. They need some serious physical work. Cullen on loan agreed, offers nothing. Widdell should start in his place every time .

I thought Fulton was fine and better than Stamenic when he came on but Cullen was poor.

People slag Fulton off as an automatic response at this point. It has very little to do with how he's actually played.

Certainly last night he looked like one of the few who actually understood the brief.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

They just tried to stem the tide after two heavy defeats. Confidence is obviously on the floor.

We were the better team, albeit without creating a lot, until they scored. Then our heads noticeably dropped and we almost went through the motions.

People will inevitably come for Fulton and Cullen, but they were the players Leon and Joe trusted to try to grind out a result. In fairness, Stamenic was no better than Fulton and Franco had a nightmare.

The only good thing was Matos’ post match interview. He’s not very animated, but identified exactly what we all think is wrong and explained exactly what he is going to do about it.

These players need to know they haven’t lost at 1-0.

Well he shouldn't , he under hit passes to many times to count , caught out of position and he's no Ash Williams trying to play diagonal balls .Its fair to single out one player but imo there wasn't a lot of leadership by him last night.

Eom hardly delivers anything either. I’d start with him on the right, Inoussa on the left and Widdell at 10. God knows what he’s done to deserve not being picked in front of the entitled pointer Cullen.

Franco is awful so get Yalcouye in - it might make for a lightweight midfield but when your heavyweight (Stamenic) goes backwards and doesn’t make one single forward pass it’s definitely worth a try. Burgess and Cabango - not working so play Casey with burgess for a few games and if it works keep it. Burgess to be captain in this period.

January’s shopping list must include a very good right back, CB and possibly a dynamic 8 .

Only Galbraith and Franco when he came on looked to go forward from midfield ,Fulton ,who wasn’t the worst player on the night ,granted, still plays those pointless ‘to me to you ‘passes back and forth with the centre half and Stamenic did the same when he came on,at one point the crowd started screaming at him to go forward and stop arsing around going nowhere ,both he and Cullen are far too static in the middle , not moving around at all and making themselves available for the ball,it’s almost like they mark themselves out of the game ,not wanting to have the ball
We have to play quicker passes forward before the opposition can mark our boys out of the game
Widell has to start games and we need to defend our flanks a lot better, our fullbacks are too far away from the opponents constantly inviting them to receive the ball, which invariably leads to crosses into ou box ,Derby had over 30 touches in our box , twice what we achieved
A full week ago with squad next week should give Matos a better idea of his best 11 and hopefully he can turn it around, because the longer this rubbish continues the worse it gets
