Fantastic performance hard to pick a MOTM Varane had his best game in ages, Madsen bossed the midfield Saito started to return to form, both Strikers worked tirelessly and Kone needed that goal. But we absolutely destroyed them down our right hand side and really is a toss up between Mbengue and Dembele any other day I would give it to Mbengue but want to recognise Dembele's best performance for the club not just attacking wise but defensively as well. You might argue that Marti did not have the same players as Stephen but then just look at what Stephen is getting out of Madsen and Dembele

I thought that was an inspired decision from Julien: Cifuentes would’ve known all about Nardi’s weaknesses and may have exploited them. Although based on how the team he picked played and his usual woeful use of substitutions perhaps not.

Ned , My mate said exactly the same about Marti having the knowledge on Nardi .

We’re really seeing hidden depths of revenge and dark thoughts from Madsen re Marti this week - wonder what went on there?

No doubt he’s making him eat his words - the rehabilitation of Madsen is my favourite thing about this season so far. Not only his quick passing and calm on the ball but he put in some great blocks and tackles all game and looked tough using his whole frame. 12 months ago that was nowhere to be seen

I'm sure this is just a joke, but if it isn't then there was nothing stopping him blocking and tackling last year.

Absolutely spot on.

Obviously there is a disconnect between Marti and Masden but Marti didn't contribute to Masden having a bad first season that's on him and I don't blame Masden for that. He's taken a while to settle but shows what patience can do for a player like him.

Very good point on Dembele's defensive work today, really put in a shift. Out-muscled James at one point, then lost the ball temporarily and then won it back. I really hope he can continue his improvement, if he does we could have quite the player on our hands.

It's the 1st game I've watched where Dembele put in a proper shift defensively for a whole game. No shirking responsibility.
Our right hand side looked really strong.

Now will he do the same away from home?
