You'll be well aware of wasting other peoples money Rob..... how many millions was it you failed to repay when you went bust again?

| Rochdale v Carlisle on 20:32 - Jan 22 by 442Dale | It may not indeed… They’d probably have sold more before the last few days. Now we’ve probably maximised the demand. As long as going forward we are able to provide room for 2000-3000 away fans, then all is good. When we start getting 5000 home fans regularly, it can be looked at again. |
Doesn't the Willbutts hold about 3500? I see no reason why every last seat can't be sold, that was the point of putting them in there The logistics of dealing with capacity crowds needs revisiting, including if GMP have input For instance, at some Premier League grounds (as far as i can make out) away fans are separated from home fans merely by a low wall, or even a single line of stewards. There's clear daylight between stands at COA As for the Carlisle decision, the club taking a stand (pun intended) on restrictions to Dale support away indicates our new prowess in not taking nonsense from anyone, and i support it [Post edited 23 Jan 11:20]

Why offer opposition teams any kind of psychological advantage when they come to our place? A full stand of 3500 fans, outnumbering our own? No thank you. We're trying to get promoted and we should do whatever it takes. Even if that means doing ourselves out of potential income. That money will be a distant memory if we go up. Correct decision.

Carlisle have been treating away fans abysmally this season. They only bolted 66 seats onto the open away terrarce after being threatened with legal action. If you have a disability or are elderley and struggle to stand up they basically put two fingers up to you. It's first come first served with those seats and you can't reserve which seat you want. Treating fans like cattle. It's a long trek up to Carlisle in winter and to deliberately move away fans into a open air terrace with no shelter from the elements and very few facilities is callous on their behalf. If other Clubs are responding accordingly to their fans being treated like that then you can't blame them. If Carlisle fans have a beef about away allocations they should take it up with the clowns who run their club and ask them to explain the reason behind it. Your point about giving the home psychological advantage away is a good one. We should limit the York tickets also because they've been arsey with visiting fans over the last couple of seasons. Give them a 1000 tickets and we'll sell the rest if it's a title decider. [Post edited 23 Jan 11:43]

This. Don't know about anyone else, but I would personally pay the cost of another season ticket right now to make up for an empty seat in the away end if it meant 3pts at every home game from now until the end of the season.
