Bowlers do a fantastic job. The youngster J Anderson from Burnley ripping out the lower order.
On a wider cricketing issue loads of injury replacements and if you have a bye the next round of fixtures the player does not miss a game. Does not sit right with me. Some teams have had two replacements in one match. Notts have replaced a seamer this morning who has taken two wickets. Smeed was playing an A team game and then travelled up as a replacement. I think squads should contain named injury replacements - batter, seamer and spinner. If somebody is replaced they 8 day rule, should extend to the next game if the team has a bye week. | | | |

Great interview with Jimmy. Makes an excellent point about seam bowling depth and the ability to rotate. That is also without Aspinwall who is promising and Blatherwick who is probably better used in the whiteball games. Shame the batting is not as reliable. I wonder if they will look for a replacement overseas player for Perry and if so will it be a top order player or a spinner? | | | |
