I saw the price list for season tickets again yesterday alongside the "number of games free" calculation. I can't believe that an adult season ticket holder in the Sandy gets more than half of the season for free. Compared to a saving of 6 games for an OAP in the main stand. I can't help but think we have massively under priced the Sandy, especially given the return to league football. A quick look around league two grounds and most are charging almost £400 for tickets on terraces behind the goal. I think Accy want £385.
I suggest it is a no brainer for anyone holding back on a season card - you'd have to miss more than half the games to be worse off. If the club wants to achieve a goal of being sustainable, I would respectfully suggest the club revisits this next year. For now, fill your boots | | | |

While I think the Sandy could have gone up a bit more in price, and therefore less free games, it also has the effect of evenly distributing the crowd around the ground. The Sandy has not really been impacted by the movement of younger fans to U Block and the support has been really good at both ends of the ground.

It is disproportionate though when those in the Sandy Lane are watching half of the games for free, it's not fair on fans in the other stands. Maybe those who recognise that might consider making a donation to the 1907 group who do such a good job in and around the Stadium on matchdays. I have no evidence to prove it, but I have a feeling that hundreds and hundreds of Sandy Laners wait until the week before the start of the season to buy their ticket. There is no incentive to buy early - they aren't trying to reserve a seat like the rest of us. If I am right, there may be 500 or so season cards sold for the Sandy Lane in early August. It is, but it will be 3/4/5 years down the line before the effect is properly shown.
