New management are just bedding in and we've got to make sure we are getting the right people. That is the most important thing.
But at least announce friendly, a hint at the new shirt design or new pie filling we are considering or something.
My dopamine starved brain needs something/anything to engage with!

I think he may be on the bench Saturday, with possibly Hendo and Rodney, they may questions about Smith and Wilson, if they got game time or not, in pre-season. I know Brown played at least one game in pre-season at Mansfield for Derby. | | | |

For me that is a very decent squad and credit to the board and Watson for coming up with a squad which certainly looks much more balanced than the last time we were in L2. The only question marks for me is whether we recruit another 10 to cover for Jenkins (or move Gilmour further forward and sign another cm) and whether we sign someone to give further cover to the full back areas- which I suppose will be dictated by the current injury situation. |  | | |

Brown has an interesting profile. A reasonably amount of Championship and L1 appearances at a relatively young, and a stint at Gateshead without finding the net on a regular basis. Clearly different people have seen potential in his talent. Hopefully we can realise that potential and he can make a significant contribution.
May not be the experienced lower league goalscorer that I wish we could have pulled out of a hat. But I do see why we moved for him. The management team know him and think he can do a job for us. That’s good enough for me.

Is goal scoring record at Derby was 1 in 18 appearances in the Championship and at Port Vale is was the same 1 goal in 24 appearances in league 1, whereas at Gateshead it was 6 goals in 18 appearances in the NL. So the step to league 2 may be the natural progression to allow gain the experience to be successful, hopefully the club will use Hendo's experience to coach him and so develop his potential. | | | |

Squad building nicely now, getting quite excited to be honest, thought there was some great inter passing a few times in the Tranmere game so looking forward to the new signings gelling....
Smith hasn't had a preseason yet, so I don't expect him to be starting in the first few games, but Brown will be ready to roll, just wondering if Watson goes 442 or 433 , good options on changing play...👍 | | | |

You forgot to include Hendo in that. Always worth a cameo from the subs bench and still capable of bagging us some very important goals this season. He's scored more goals than all the squad combined. I also think he now has a psychological effect on the opposition, when they see him enter the pitch with twenty minutes to go it causes trepidation. I noticed that last season, his reputation goes before him. |  | | |
