Presumably Salford would be looking to recover some of the largish fee that they paid Exeter for Bird.

TBF as good a player as Bird was for us, I would've been reluctant to sign him (regardless of whether a fee would've been involved or not) given his injury record previously and the state of our squad at the time. I think a injury-free season for Boreham Wood would raise his value more than any goal scoring antics would.

Good to see Boreham Wood doing well. Agree with others that Garrard seems a very good manager.

I was at the game, he also went through in the second half one and one against the Kidderminster goalkeeper and was fouled in the box. He was on a hatrick and so I was surprised he wasn’t given the opportunity to take the penalty, which was missed anyway.
