But only because it's next door t' Co-op!

I used to go there all the time until I moved to Littleborough and its a bit steep having taxis both ways. The foods good and well priced. The beers are good. They have oddball beers in the fridge, and change the guest ales all the time. Lots of choice. Not the cheapest place to drink, but its worth it in my opinion. No where near as many bell ends as most other town centre pubs.

However I did get threatened to be thrown out twice, for singing to loud when I went for a beer after we got promoted. Also they are/used to be associated with the dale trust. You are/were supposed to get money off food and or beer if you show your trust membership card. I tried several times but they just looked at me like I'd tried to take a dump in their mouth

Poll: Dale player. Do you use it?

Where do you go after you have been to the Rake then if you were on a pub crawl?

25 years ago we would go the the Rake - don't know if that's still there?

The Baum is a great pub, excellent fresh, varied food and brilliant choice of beers and wines. I visit regularly with colleagues for food and drink after work and none of them were surprised they had won the award. It's great that the town has some positive news!

The Baum serves good beer and grub.

Pity it has all the atmosphere of a moonlet of Pluto...

Used to drink in there regular 15 years ago, can't afford to do so thesedays. Yeah the choice of beer is excellent including kolsch from koln but it has to be a once in a blue moon trip there as its so expensive. Anyway well done to Simon and his staff hope it propel pubs business in the town due to visitors to the baum.

Great news for The Baum and its staff. I've always found it to be a very friendly pub with Simon and Heidi who run it, to be excellent hosts. Great beer and great food.

They also run the Healey Hotel to the same high standards I believe.

It's good to see a family run business succeed so well when the multiples like HMV, Woolworths and McDonalds in Rochdale crash and burn.

Well done The Baum.
