On a positive note Donnelly has had a few attempts already and if he continues, one of them just might go in this afternoon - he did bag two last week after all. I don't like his nickname on here and won't be using it no matter how good/bad he is.

Agree about the nickname, though not sure how it came about.

Agreed but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it , and why only certain players Kennedy has been abysmal recently
[Post edited 1 Jan 1970 1:00]

Kennedy played well against Wycombe and I didn't go York so can't comment, but he has had runs of forms for the team and was our player of the year last season, therefore he can be forgiven for a loss of form, donnelly has never done it in a Rochdale shirt (probably never done it in any shirt, tbf) and then tweets about how 'dogshit' teams are, i'm gonna put my neck on the line and say he wouldn't even catch that team.

The sooner he is gone, the better, he may work hard and I admire him for that, but if we're ever gonna get back outta this division, it won't be with donnelly.

Mourinho is a right pillock.

Hassell came on as sub according to Sky, probably wandering around looking for the bench and the ball inadvertently hit him on the head.

Some may go too far, but Donnelly's been far from good enough. Nothing wrong with saying that.

Unfortunately the nickname is of his own making. A silly comment that wasn't going to go unnoticed.

If people just called him dogshit for the sake of it, then I agree it would be harsh.

This is his own doing.

yeah he gets real dogs abuse from the stands. It's ridiculous and it does his confidence no good, was great to hear the appreciation of his MOTM award on saturday, most fans are clearly behind him, and want him to succeed.

Ok your entitled to your own opinion on players but as you say there are many going too far. These seem to be relatively new posters (last 2 years or so) who have contributed to the degrading of this once great forum. It saddens me to hear people mention this place as the mong board thesedays.

Yes he hasn't been good enough but he is giving his all, that used to be enough for Dale fans, people can forgive not having the ability, but not a lack of effort.

I think at the moment it is more important to Hill to be seen to be giving a start to a hard worker rather than someone who goes through the motion. It's been said a million times but if Grimes had George's work rate, he'd be the division's top scorer. In trying to build a team work ethic, the hard worker will get the nod at the moment. And rightly so.
