Rochdale v millwall 11:10 - Jan 5 with 5734 viewsPete_the_feet

Millwall fan here coming in peace, planning on coming up to you next month for our fixture. With millwall buying tickets for away games we have to either be season ticket holders or members but a lot of the crowd coming with me aren't millwall so won't have either. Been told you can POTD at your place so just wondering how it works? Do we just pay the turnstiles and will they ask for our memberships if so? Any help would be great

Away fans just pay at the turnstiles, unless it's all ticket or there is another pre-arrangement in place.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Rochdale fan in peace.

Pete can you have a word with your supporters and tell them not to kick off after the game, I would rather not have a repeat of last season.

Thanks.

I thought millwall were ok behaved last year...

A couple of lions supporters looking for bother bit disappointed when there wasn't any!!

Oh and a young kid chased down sandy lane because he punched a millwall fan in the back of the head and ran off!!

All in all they were ok from what I saw.

Pay on day should be ok pete one thing for sure you will not fill the away stand so you will have plenty of room.

More the merrier let us know if you need more information.

Street parking on Ings lane 3 mins walk to ground.. You can get a beer in the Radcliffe Arms if your decent well behaved sorts!!

Excellent chippy just by the away turnstyle.

Thank you sir! Yeah we're getting the train into Rochdale from Manchester Victoria, plan was to walk from the station as no other way than a cab? 40 minute walk? Once we're on the piss we'all be fine though.

Depends on time but plenty of boozers in the town centre ( 20 min walk though )

Try and have one in the flying horse.. Dale pub pretty sure well behaved away fans are welcome.

Then it's a cab to be honest or a brisk 30 minute walk.

As before there is a pub at Spotland in the grounds of the club.

As before pete just no bother we are all happy folk up here!!! Up the Dale.

Taxis / private hire very cheap here in Rochdale, so wouldn't cost much. A ten minute walk (mostly down hill) from the train station gets you to the Flying Horse, an excellent Camra Pub, which sells excellent food and booze, opposite one of , if not the best Town Hall in the country, also Weatherspoons near by. About £4 for private hire ride to Cemetary Pub, another real Ale place, then ten minutes walk, you are at the ground with above mentioned on ground Pub.

I can see the aversion to Cabs given London prices but...

4 of you in a taxi to the ground. £5

It might be grim up north but like houses, lots of things are much cheaper.

Mentioned the Town Hall as it's the nearest significant landmark to the Flying Horse. However not all football fans are culturally deficient.

Met some of your lot on the train in September and had a really good chat with them.

I know your fans have a reputation - and well-deserved, in many instances - but they were superb with us and were clearly very passionate about your club and very knowledgeable about the game in general.

However, R17 threw them when he advised them to get rag pudding from the chippy when you come to our place!

He said it was our version of your jellied eels. It isn't!

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?
