I’m surprised so many people still don’t rate Sanchez, especially now he’s stopped playing like he thinks he’s Ederson (which, let’s be honest, was always only ever BBM’s instruction). For me he’d probably be the best keeper we’ve had in the past decade or so, after Heaton, Logan and Lonnergan.
His commanding of his box is second to none and he’s great at claiming crosses/corners too, basically everything Lillis isn’t. His shot-stopping’s top. In fact, the only thing he isn’t good at is distribution, but then again not many of our keepers ever are. My Gillingham friend today said Sanchez is the best keeper he’s seen in a while and he’s the only reason the score wasn’t worse for us. | | | |

Dead legs are one thing in your 20s and something completely different in your mid-30s when everything starts to take longer to heal. I didn't expect Henderson to play again for at least 3 weeks. It's better that he plays the second half of the season when fully fit that play at Gillingham and carry an injury. Ideally he could do with a week in the sunshine somewhere to recharge his batteries as indeed could the whole squad. |  | | |

But he has two agents and his pal was sacked last season. Major influences on his decision making.
Only thing keeping him here now is that record. Once he beats that, he’s off for sure. If he doesn’t, I reckon he’ll still leave in the summer. I don’t think we will be able to offer him what his representatives reckon he is worth. [Post edited 30 Dec 2019 12:39]
