This will obviously depend on how many tickets are available. Just thinking should the club be contacting season ticket DFRC holders to see how many would like to go to the game in the event of GM dropping down a tier.

There is talk that Greater Manchester will be split into two - north and south because the difference in covid rates is now quite significant. I can't see Rochdale being released from tier three to be honest.
If they were I am not sure I would go to the first game. As somebody that was told to shield I would need to know that it was safe beyond all reasonable doubt. Having watched some of the tier 2 games across London this weekend on TV it is clear that not everybody keeps their face mask during the game and that creates uncertainty for me. But I know others would be less concerned.

I might be wrong but I thought once you were in your seat you could take your mask off. That's how it was at the cinemas when they were open. If you can't I'll just be staring at my steamed up glasses all game or some blurry object running around. Obviously I think if you don't have a mask on you shouldn't be shouting etc.

I might be wrong but I think I read that it's up to the club whether they choose to enforce it.

Weymouth FC (waaay down in the National League) have stated that they are going to reduce the amount of supporters after some refused to social distance nor wear masks and smuggled alcohol into the ground, also a fan ran onto the pitch when Weymouth scored

This was given to Shrews fans....
"It is mandatory whilst under Tier 2 restrictions that supporters wear a face covering within the stadium at all times save for those with a medical exemption. Face coverings will also be mandatory whilst accessing concourses for toilet facilities following the signposted one way system."
The same was issued to Chelsea fans. They also had to fill in a health questionnaire online in advance and take a temperature check before entering the stadium
The thinking has moved on from where we were in summer when infection rates were 30-40 per 100,000

It's good to see plans being put in place. It would be good if any ballot/allocation could be sorted before the announcement next week as less than 72 hours to arrange it seems like a push to me. Just make it clear that it is on the proviso GM region drops to tier 2, stipulate the rules and that anyone breaking them after being warned may have their season card/DFRC rescinded. Season card holders that don't apply/are unsuccessful get an Ifollow pass (unless some daft Ifollow rule prohibits that of course).

I may be wrong, but the total number of SC holders plus DFRC holders wouldn't reach the 2000 capacity figure
But as you say, the timing will be tight. DFRC holders may be given a maximum of 48 hours to claim a ticket before they go on open sale

You could be right. Thinking they could get the ball rolling this week, As soon as the meeting with SAB has taken place release a statement regarding applying to go to the game with cut off midday on the 15th. Run the draw, if necessary that afternoon. Create 2 emails for each eventuality and put them in drafts. Send the appropriate one after the announcement. If it is good news and tickets are available post on social media how many are on general sale.

Obviously not, but there is a possibility of it being the first time all us "Kiwi" Dale fans meeting up. Covid issues are still appearing though. My trip to go to Auckland was for a friends wedding, which has had to be postponed, again, due to an error in booking the the brides parents isolation stay. Too late to change flights, so we will likely be meeting up.

Did the club say how many refunds were taken - that would reduce the numbers even more and it will also affect the seating plan if any were in bubbles with other family members. For instance I took the refund but my dad didn't but my seat couldn't be offered to someone else now.
Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Dunno what the answer is but it's a good point. The available capacity may be well below 2000
If time allowed, it might've been possible for SC holders (not refunded) to specify if they weren't going to take up their seat for a particular game or games, in which case it might've become available for re-allocation, but that's unlikely to be an option to begin with and may present more complications than it's worth

For those who did buy in “bubbles”, there won’t have been any sold outside the restrictions in place at the time which, as per the OS: <“Due to the local lockdown restrictions currently in place, only supporters from the same household/ support bubble can sit together. Our approved Covid seating plan allows seats to be allocated in up to groups of four.”>
So they can’t/shouldn’t have been able to buy if it was family from two different households - unless one was a single person of course! This should mean that those should remain intact for that group.
