Cheers Kel. Really hard one to record that. No pleasure out of trying to go over the issues. Like I said, I feel I've been watching long enough to think I can see how this plays out. Obviously I want us to turn our fortunes around, starting this weekend. When Hill was sacked, he wasn't a particularly likeable guy, I imagine that would have played a part in the meeting that decided it but there won't be a single board member who wants to sack BBM but results may force their hand sooner rather than later.

The RochdaleAFC.com Podcast - Episode 34 on 13:18 - Feb 12 with 1164 views | TVOS1907 | Thanks lads, a great listen. I don't agree with some bits of it, but found myself nodding in agreement at others. It is frustrating, though, how a lot of it is going over old ground for the umpteenth time this season. However, at least opinions are argued and debated sensibly instead of some of the ranting, raving and personal attacks and vendettas we see elsewhere.

The RochdaleAFC.com Podcast - Episode 34 on 13:21 - Feb 12 with 1164 views | jonahwhereru | I wish the team were like you lads. In the face of adversity your performances have been pure class. Can’t say at any time in that listen did I think where is he going with this. Luke’s mini analysis of BBM tenure to date was so well thought out and delivered, quality. On player reactions when conceding, I know lots of teams look disconsolate when they concede but our body language does it in spades. We need someone out there pounding their fist and saying “come on let’s get at them”. I am Not one who likes to subscribe to a players stock rising when they are not available to play, but I will make an exception for McShane. He would have been massive in these times. To the extent that I still feel he should travel with the team when he isn’t fit to be involved. [Post edited 12 Feb 2021 13:47]

Good point in your last paragraph. I've never had to relieve anyone of their position but I can't imagine how traumatic and upsetting it is to do that to someone, especially someone as likeable as BBM. Also, we only see him on matchdays and the odd interview, they see him about the club far more than us I imagine and will have a much better relationship with him, making the task even more difficult.

I’m gutted with how I feel about it mate, but I fear that even a win tomorrow will be papering over the cracks. It’s not just BBM though now, something is wrong at the club. They can joke about cliques within the fan base all they want but it’s obvious to some that there is a massive one at the club if you look hard enough for the evidence. The main drivers of it are hangers on who cling on to the club in a desperate attempt to boost their own profile whilst not actually being Rochdale supporters before getting their jobs. They in particular can royally get to fook.

The RochdaleAFC.com Podcast - Episode 34 on 17:11 - Feb 12 with 929 views | 442Dale | Some of the other issues have existed at Dale for a long time. There’s a presumption that there is a real focus on supporters and that their opinions and support are valued and welcomed. It’s Team Rochdale when it suits, but the minute someone strays off a path that some believe we all should follow it’s obvious. The ridiculous thing is a great deal of those opinions and suggestions of how we can do better are not only valid, but would actually benefit the club massively. It never needed to be like this, both on and off the pitch. It requires philosophies, egos and personal stances to be left at the door on occasions, because if they were we’d progress over a long period of time. The podcast should be required listening for anyone who wants Dale to go forward. Really good yet again.

I’m sick to the back teeth of club employees having sly digs at supporters on social media and thinking we’re all a bit too stupid to see what they’re getting at. Even the ones who are too thick to be sly get away with it too (calling supporters peados (sic) for example). Any other workplace and said person is gone. They need reining in but we all know they won’t as they’re either stroking the boss mans ego or think they’re indispensable. I’ve heard loads about a “bullying culture” at the club and always held back mentioning but I don’t give a shite anymore. Things need to change and quickly before it gets out of control.

Perhaps fans should start reporting them to the club as they happen?

It’s sure to be well thought out, quality journalism with a thorough analysis of the situation. That’s the podcast, not the local paper.

The RochdaleAFC.com Podcast - Episode 34 on 18:32 - Feb 12 with 779 views | judd | Great listen, lads, and highly commendable restraint shown in discussing this last weeks' football and only swearing twice. Steve Eyre's biggest contribution was to re-site the home and away dug outs. Baah's reported transfer fee is about the same amount as the £486,000 we received from the Manu cup game, the one seemingly not worth a tug.

Didn't Hill swap the dugouts a few years ago? Or did Eyre do it as well? They were certainly in the traditional places when Coleman was manager.

It's just the article on the back page of tomorrow's Ob. Part of the story implies some sort of poll of the fanbase canvassing opinion on BBM. Maybe James did it for them.

Think ATP referenced a 53:47 split in favour of keeping on his poll. That's marginal
