Spending time in Uniteds youth teams, he is going to have some quality. At least the fans have had the chance to take a look too. Stockdale's impressed.
Been in trials abroad since being released. Slovakia I think, however the trial didn't quite work out. According to a report they were impressed with him though but wanted a player with more experience.
He's been on a quite a life journey at such a young age, suffering from cancer at 18.

Well the centre back area looks a bit better stocked now. Hopefully Jim can concentrate on coaching, with two young new recruits to work with. Plus JK can stand in at a push.
Still plenty of shopping to be done, especially in defence and attack. Thomas would be a start, but that may yet be a compensation job. We will see.

No not seen all of them so still open minded. The rotherham game is the one I saw. In the main he looked rash and struggled with the physical side. He did however look assured enough on the ball and made an incredible last ditch block in the second half.
Suppose there's a bit of a difference in quality of opponent in the two games we've seen. Rotherham weren't great though. [Post edited 2 Aug 2021 18:13]

Whist agreeing with the points you make in principle , which I generally do , i just have a slight misgiving that Thomas , who is a highly rated 2nd year scholar now (as I understand it) and highly rated apparently doesn't appear in the friendlies whilst other 2nd year scholars do , as well as the striker Jesus , who I believe is a 1st year scholar ?/
I'm hoping its just to keep him under the radar before he qualifies to sign a full pro deal , especially as TVOS has confirmed he was involved in the youth team photo call . | | | |

Didn’t mention him in context of the first team, but as you mention it I do think he would be likely to get experience travelling with and occasionally getting minutes this season, given the current squad size.
Actually on the podcast the other days ATP asked who would be the club’s top goal scorer. I would have answered A N Other as I hope the top scorer isn’t at the club yet.
But yes I would like Thomas to be signed but not loaned out like some of the other youngsters. | | | |
