| Hartlepool Match Thread 14:56 - Oct 28 with 26040 views | ChaffRAFC | First team as expected but how do you go from saying we might miss Devante Rodney all season to him then being on the bench the next game? Just what the f*** is going on with him? And there's nobody, in the world, can tell me that Afuye can offer more than Oscar Kelly who just can't make it onto the bench. | |

Fair enough, thought it would be the same scenario if he wasn't.

Isn’t it a case of just using the right tactic at the right time? Like the first goal.

You're comparing apples with oranges there: that was not a hoof, it was a (excellent) pass.

I’m not comparing because haven’t seen their goal, more that sometimes you go long and it works. Will have a look later.

Agree that going long (pass) can work, especially when it's part of a mixed approach as the opposition are 'caught out', which is clearly Jim's tactics/style and IMHO, a really good style to watch.

That's what most of us have been advocating for quite a long time now, and should be put into effect more often rather than what's happened all too frequently in the recent past (under different managers as well as JM), which is playing around with it in our own half for the sake of it
