It’ll have been a case of players getting another 45+ minutes in the legs. Also, best not to read too much into how they lined up going off the OS; there is no detail of who played which role in defence in the second half.
It could have been a case of rotating players to get them used to how the different roles in a new system worked. Maybe with Edwards at full back we moved over to a back three at times if he went into midfield. Maybe when that happened Bilongo went back to LB and everyone along one. Hard to say without seeing the game.
Would expect the Halifax game to give us a better idea, with other behind closed doors matches probably being pencilled in too. | |
