Just looked on the Torquay forum and it's an interesting one. Some fans seem to rate him, whilst others don't (applies to pretty much every signing we've made under Hilly admittedly) The one slight worry I'd have is he seems a bit similar to what we've already got- good shot stopper but poor commanding of area. Added to that many don't seem to rate his distribution.
However, the Torquay forum also suggests that they have little to no coaching provision for goalkeepers at the club. If that's the case then Hilly must see this as a bit of a project, distribution can be taught (look how much Lillis' improved after Coleman left) and any other flaws in his game may be ironed out under a good keeping coach. Hill masterstroke? Time will tell on this one I think. |  | | |
