The last one concerning us was that we and Bolton were in advanced talks with Zach Clough to sign permanently this summer. Coincidentally his two previous clubs.
If I remember rightly his last game of his first loan spell was the famous 4-0 Rotherham victory. He looked a typical Hill player, that nice blend of hard work and skill. Loved that we got him back a couple of years later but he looked very ordinary and hardly set the world alight second time around.

Yeah. The first game I saw him in was Bradford away after missing his first few matches due to being away. Will Buckley had just got injured and I was adamant in the car on the way that it would derail our promotion push. Atkinson was tremendous that night as we won 0-3 to go top of the league and I was adamant in the car on the way home that nothing was going to stop us that season.

These media platforms usually run either of two ways.
A) They’re run by fanboys playing journalist who want to be seen as in the know. Or they’re trolling. One of the downsides of the rise of the digital age. God I miss the days when the NCTJ was a prerequisite to calling yourself a journalist.
B) They’re run by actual journalists who are fed BS from agents and use it as a platform to get players moves by unsettling their current club and alerting other clubs to their ‘availability’. It’s a mutually beneficial arrangement, as the journalist gets an ‘exclusive’. Pete O’Rourke and Alan Nixon have made careers off such arrangements.
In the case of this article, I would say it falls into A.
