Are they really tall?
Unsure why size of shareholding should matter. Surely it could be first 50 to request to attend, especially as last time it was doubtful there were many more there than that anyway. |  |

Now the problem with inviting the top 50 share holders is that quite a few have inherited the shares and quite possibly not interested in attending as it was their fathers or grandfathers interest.
So that weakens the attendence and possible voting outcome.....
Now what is interesting are those 25% of the shareholders backing the trust.
What combined percentage do they own!
Also have any of the bigger shareholdera decided to back the trust in a call for an EGM..

Also its been rumoured that this EGM in june is by the club and not the trust....

No they don’t. They pay £25k to get a seat at the table and that’s it. Andy Kelly puts additional money in via the shirts etc, but I’m not sure what the others contribute financially. [Post edited 5 May 2021 19:32]

Not necessarily: It would be subject to the approval of the other Board members, who are supposed to carry out due diligence, although appear not to have done so with certain recent appointments.
I think the Directors also pay for their own season tickets, but in return are given Board room hospitality for themselves and a family member . Each Director is supposed to add value to the Board eg Andrew Kelly was always involved in the Youth team/football in the community; Graham Rawlinson was involved in the licenced premises and bars, and Tony Pockney is able to oversee the finances and accounts.
David Bottomley is involved in mug design, carriages, Gala Dinners and managerial contracts whilst being an expert in not knowing what won't work in the North West of England.
If any Directors leave the Board, they may be able to sell their shares, which, should they get £2 a share for them might mean they break even or occasionally make a profit. | | | |
