I doubt it will hardly make much difference.
There is a limited capacity for away fans at Fylde and I'm sure we will still sell out, or almost sell out. We took 820 in the FA Cup and around 1,000 on New Year's Day; I would expect a similar following this time.
Don't forget that a lot of fans have other commitments at that time of year and being able to stroll down to The Ratcliffe to watch it may well suit them more, plus the club benefit from bar takings.
I'd be surprised if Oldham don't do the same for their New Year's Day trip to Hartlepool or for their game at Fylde on 14th January. |  |
