What a season.
The club however needs to move as quickly as possible to capitalize on all the huge amount of positivity and feel good factor amongst the fan base and the town.
With creative thinking and some hard to turn down offers this should be another club record for season ticket sales.
10 000 Dale fans at Wembley its not unreasonable to expect 50% to want to continue watching Dale at Spotland in the EFL..
Results help of course and that will be down to Jim and his team..
Looking forward to a noticeably busier Spotland come that first home league game next season.

I wouldn't mention L1, i wouldn't mention consolidation neither because that's a dangerous mindset. Just aim to improve season on season, constantly striving to be better. EFL2 is a different animal to the National League, the standard overall is quite a bit higher when you watch some of the games. We will need to make a few quality signing and i'm sure we will. We have momentum now and if we get off to a decent start anything could happen. We can also look forward to polishing rough diamonds and making money in the transfer market again. What happened at Wembley has completely transformed the club. |  | | |

Project 5000 might not be a pipe dream but it will not just happen.. the club need to make it happen.

The "three season" plan wasn't intended to be an outcome, but a target set to be beaten
JM, his staff and players have done just that, but it's not "ahead of time"
Will be interesting to see if further targets are set, perhaps once we're well underway in L2 [Post edited 13 May 14:20]

I think the next club targets will be around continuing to develop existing income streams and aiming for self-sufficiency as far as possible. Obviously the EFL income will help tremendously but unless we can continue adding revenue and profits, it will be hard to progress. The average ticket price (revenue / attendance) when we last in the EFL was about £13 , I have no doubt that it will rise for some sections but ticket revenue is a relatively small pat of overall income and cutting costs like the electricity bills and when Bowlee is open, there will be more savings on training ground rental, players meals, travel etc. The pitch should only need relatively minor remedial work for a number of seasons.
I suspect there is still much do do in terms of sponsorship deals , and with the recent wonderful publicity, you would think they should be more lucrative next season..Don't forget the self-sufficiency plan was a 5 year plan with a 3year back-to-the -EFL plan alongside, and still much to do... |  | | |

Don't forget the five year plan you mention is already underway, therefore the need for another (non-footballing) plan is currently unnecessary, although nothing is set in stone | |

Apologies I read things on here mostly but have I missed something somewhere about a training ground at Bowlee?
Also, talking of missing things, I cannot remember the last time I had an e mail update from the Dale Trust, must be months now….
Season Card Prices for next season will be a hard one, putting them up will have an increase from loyal fans but may deter newbies from being tempted if Adult & kids or Family, I remember paying best part of £800 one season for the 3 of us in the Main Stand in League 1 I recall. (Happy to be corrected)..
Anyone who knows me knows I always wear a Dale coat & when not wearing a work Polo a Dale Top. Even DL knew it was me sat there chain smoking with a coffee outside the hotel in Watford 😎
Kit prices will go up as always.. my lad always wanted home / away & shorts for a long time growing up…
It’s not all about marketing.. it’s a balance of business acumen..
Maintain the status quo & hope for a few more takers or make it more affordable to attract more with a higher Gross Margin affected by additional shop & wet / dry sales on match days…

Oldham started off a bit shaky but improved as the season progressed. They did bring quite a few players in during the summer and also as it progressed. | | | |

I wasn't suggesting the target should be back to back promotions, but rather will there be aspirations to be back in League 1 within a certain number of seasons.
Regarding season ticket prices they dropped considerably for the 17/18 season and haven't returned to previous levels as far as I'm aware. | |

They should go up. There’s an argument they’ve been too low for too long.
As long as the family tickets and those for younger fans are sensible and affordable, there can be little argument at adults paying £50 more. |  |

The club expects to break ground at Bowlee this summer with a main building , a 3g and a grass pitch, the Council will build a number of 3g pitches alongside . It will be into 2027 before its finished so training will probablybe at Platt Lane for another season.
Apparently the company that built Bournmouths training hub will be contracting the building they have done similar work for a number of EFL clubs

Progress on training ground at Bowlee – the initial plans were displayed for the site, with the club having 1
grass and 1 3G pitch available for the club and community trust, and the council having pitches available
for commercial purposes. There will be separate buildings for the club and council, and the facilities for
the club will include a gym and kitchen. The building design is proposed to be by Modulek, who have
worked with Bournemouth.
Planning application should commence March/April, hoping for a positive decision June, with
construction to start shortly after. It will not be ready for the start of the new season, but hoping to move
in mid-season. There will be consultation with local residents and support in favour of the development
by fans would be appreciated.
