encouraging. sounds like it hurt him as much as it hurt us and echoed the sentiments of many on here in that other players may now deserve a chance

The comments about picking the same players for too long is interesting. Good that he acknowledges his errors.

Love the phrase: 'On a wet night in Cumbria'

Some of us still haven't fully recovered from the one some years ago. I swear I started to develop gills that night.

Nobody, ever, will encounter worse weather than that first hour in the AWS game.

It made the game almost unwatchable.

I blame Thackeray.

I bet you do too.

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Nail on the head comments by JC ...we aint down yet so the shirts are playing for their futures..i expect nothing at Hudds but we desperately need 9 points from the following 3 home games..i fully expect Tranmere and Walsall to come with a defensive approach to maintain the status quo between us and them

Great post-match comments, great to see that he acknowledges his mistakes in picking the same team, think we could see tutte and a couple of others at hudds.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

And don't forget, the weather relented when they had to play into it second half!!

Coleman doesn't take prisoners. His body language was that of an angry man who was clearly ruffled and upset. He is not concentrating on Huddersfield yet because he wants to analyse the Carlisle game and kick arse.
"I want to ram it home to them that it's totally unacceptable, with the duty that they have to the fans -they are the one's who pay their wages and I would be embarrassed to pick my wages up after that second half performance"

...wait for the fall out.

I'm going to Huddersfield on Saturday. It will be very, very interesting.

In Coleman we trust...don't know about the others.

Jesus saves but Beasley scores off the rebound.

I wore a brown leather jacket that night, because I was young and cool.

Torrential rain and brown leather do not mix.

Streaky brown leather and white leather seats in your ex-bosses Jag didn't mix either.

I'm still paying off the debt of the fuel for that trip!

Went on one of the coaches to the game, on the way back the floor was a mass of soaked coats.

Walked back to Norden from the club at midnight in wet jeans and a jumper.

& a nice Dale St. George flag i borrowed & pinned on the railings, went to pick it up after the game & it had turned pink

Anybody remember the snowstorm game up there? All we could see was white for 5mins & loads of ooooh & aaaahs, when it stopped all the pitch was perfectly covered white apart from our goal area that was snow free (they'd pulverised us but couldnt score, umpteen corners shots clearances...) Singing in the snow, just singing in the snow............

Looks like Carlisle is one of our unlucky grounds. I recall going up there, only to be delayed by a serious Motorway crash. Even a 30 minute delay in the KO time was n't enough to allow us to get in on time, despite taking my little Citroen works van above 90 MPH. Got in just in time to see Carlisle score their third. Dale almost pulled the game back in the second half, but still no points.
Highlight of the game was the instant wit shown by the travelling Dale, following a missed chance to equalise.
"carlisle fans just shit themselves, doo dah, doo dah".
Hope you dont mind me sharing the memories. I dont get them replace these days.

Remember it well.

A certain Mr Simpson enjoyed Carlisle going 3-0 up.

He must have spotted Bobbyjoe in the away end!

There was another game up there where we came back to 3-2. They put us in the seats at one end of the main stand. Mark Stuart had started his annual 'impress the manager in April' routine.

That was the game where the ref awarded Carlisle a goal that NEVER crossed the line. Think it was Ian Gray in the net...

Where's Fred?

It was April 1997 and even Leonard scored.
