JLAA's 'goal' looks to have been unfairly ruled out.
If I were an Oldham supporter I would be appalled if their '3rd' was ruled out for a push. (When compared to the two Rochdale 'goals' disallowed against PNE this occassion must clearly rank as GBH on Holden!)
The linesman, nevertheless, had clearly flagged for off side, regardless of any slight push on the defender.

Wiping out JLAA's 'goal' was a shame - he doesn't get many goals, and Saturday's was a great strike. But he does have an occasional tendency to get an arm in the way of the ball, so maybe the linesman thought he saw more than he did.
But the video shows Biffo defenders appealing for a freekick (more than Dale defenders when Oldham thought they'd scored) so that could have influenced the lino. | | | |

Just remembered that Akpro got booked by the inept ref not long after he came on. The Oldham player smashed the ball against his hand from about 5 yards away which the inept official deemed deliberate. Just lucky he didnt get a 2nd yellow for his 'handball' goal. | |
