Match Thread 06:53 - Mar 31 with 1270 views

I just want to see one thing from todays game. I want us to show the same determination and effort to win the game as Walsall. If we get beaten by the better team on the day but we actually bust a gut trying to gain the 3 points, that will do for me. Is that too much to ask ??

Lets also get behind the lads, especially if we go a goal down, otherwise it could be a long afternoon.

I think we're all at the point where we've accepted the inevitable. In some ways today's game is no-win. If we lose, we'll be miserable cos we've lost. If we win it jusst prolongs the inevitable but gives us a tiny bit of false hope.

If I was an optimist though, today's game is a win-win situation. If we win then the impossible is possible and the great escape is on. If we lose then the agony isn't prolonged and bury are also more likely to come down with us.

In the last week, the 'buzz' has gone from this forum. In nearly four hours a post about this afternoon's game attracts only a handful of comments, mostly assuming Dale are bound to be relegated.

If the same attitude is present in the dressing-room, Coleman will have a heck of a job in motivating the players. I'd guess that before today he decided on the squad, and that those who are in it have been told what he wants them to do.

Let's hope they can deliver. If Dale do finish in the bottom four, as a starting point for next season it'd be preferable to collect a few more points and to finish above two or three other clubs.

only way id be able to go today, sad times.I just want to hear that the lads gave 100% for 90 mins, im not hopeful though as i dont think theyre bothered, and i cant forgive that, up the Dale.
