tomorrow can't come quick enough 14:17 - Oct 16 with 2267923 viewsbatman

Not for us, but for Bury.
i was credit checking a potential customer and decided to nosey onto
BFC's file and was (or maybe not) supprised to see a new CCJ for circa £22k lodged
only Wednesday this week.
looks like they are in need of a bumper crowd tomorrow to settle some bills

Ivan Lewis just said on 5live that he still wants to investigate whether something can be done in the next few hours.

Genuinely feel sorry for them. I wanted them to remain in the league so we could beat them and laugh at them and watch them slip down into league two and probably the conference but also because they would still have a club. County fans are a lot more grounded now they are in the conference.

An interesting line from the EFL statement:

"there are a number of matters which, in our view, will require further investigation"

The outpouring of ill-informed nonsense from the easily-offended brigade on social media is nauseating. A certain Mr Day seems to avoid any mention, too.

Ding Dong The Witch Is Dead!!!!! Yessss!!!!!

Now come on bury fans you've lost all that baggage that people despised you for. So, get your backsides in gear and get that new club formed.

The worm of time turns not for the cuckoo of circumstance.

Wow! 😦
Really didn’t expect that!
I seriously hope they sort out a Phoenix club and get back where they belong

Where's Fred?

That intrigued me too. I wonder what specifically they’ll be investigating?

I suspect most of us know a lot of good Bury fans. They're basically the same as us but were just born the wrong side of Heywood. I've spoken to a few who are totally heart broken. Supporters who just wanted to support. Folk who take their kids to games. This is all really sad but was the only decision considering how long it has gone on. As soon as the MP started saying they could relegate them it was a very bad sign. I suspect we'll see Bury FC next season, freed from their ground and remaining assets, in the NWCL.

Yeah, I omitted to say it refers to Bury's finances.

I'm sure us and Bury fans can unite in hoping that it's something to do with SD1.

One big thing not in the news tonight is the CVA.

Steve Dale reduced the unsecured debts to about £1.6m (25p in the £).

Tonight, they have no way of paying that - so effectively a bust CVA.

I can see a number of creditors taking relevant individual actions - against Day and Dale - if this is not honoured.

Hasn't Dale resigned as a director? Can retrospective action be taken?

I hope, for the sake of all decent football fans out there, that this pair are hung out to fookin dry.

If at the time he was a director he took inappropriate or illegal action then yes he can be held to acount for his actions.

The repercussions of this are going to reverberate for some time, and not just with creditors of the club formerly known as bury fc (RIP)

A precedent has been set. Other clubs may find themselves in real jeopardy, and the next case is of course Bolton. The EFL simply can't apply different rules in the future, especially the requirement to demonstrate ability to complete a season financially. Supplies of imodium will be stockpiled in boardrooms across the land

Not according to this.

A company needs at least one director so someone will have to replace him.

Retrospectivr action can be taken and I agree, I hope both over time get what is coming to them.

There will be scope for action under the Proceeds of Crime Act for recovery against individuals who have profited unfairly over the last number of years.

I'm genuinely sad for the fans. I hope they can rise from the ashes and start again. I'll miss the rivalry.
Now I'm looking forward to reading more Dale related news on here.

Thanks.

The timing of his resignation, if it has happened, could be crucial in any prosecution of his part in any deemed illegality.

To think we allow historic inappropriate corporate activity to be brushed aside eh?

Dale gives the impression of being a chancer but the villain is without doubt Day. The damage was done long before Dale arrived on the scene. He was just the idiot who was holding the parcel when the music stopped..

100% agree.

TBF to the EFL they cant be accused of not giving bury a chance.

Bolton now on notice for the same reasons - with a clear path of what happens if you don't abide by the rules.

One other thought it how lucky we are. We don't all agree but I think there are a lot of people here and who support the club who care about it being here long after we are all dead and gone.

Long live the voice of fair challenge and reasoned argument at those who have custodianship of our club.

I don't believe you can absolve responsibilities that easily under the Companies Act.

Equally shadow directors can be drawn in - Glenn Thomas and Karl Evans spring to mind.
