R's v royals match thread. on 21:41 - Oct 7 by traininvain | What did I say about Tim! He’s bossed the second half and mark my words he’s going to be very useful for us this season. |
Good on the ball, but doesn’t move much off it. Gave away a lot of free kicks in dangerous positions. A long way to go for him. Looks like Dozzell from last year.

R's v royals match thread. on 22:03 - Oct 7 with 2806 views | Doudou87 | So impressed with Beales tactical change, was cursing following the withdrawal of Field but it turned the game and we looked very solid with 3 at the back. When Tim gets used to the championship he’s going to be a top player. Slotted in nicely covering the back when Field was withdrawn. Can really slalom past players, just a little inexperienced. Give Reading a little credit, very physical and stubborn team, hard to play against.

R's v royals match thread. on 22:05 - Oct 7 with 2701 views | CiderwithRsie | If I've got the maths right only two clubs have scored more than us (by just one goal) plus one more on the same as us. Not bad for a side most of us thought was badly missing a goalscorer this season. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Funny how we all see things different as I think he presses very intelligently and presumably Beale feels the same way as he seems to trust him. Some of his passing tonight was top quality. But I agree that he needs to stop giving away possession and free kicks in dangerous areas. If he can do the last part then he’ll be a key player for us this season.

R's v royals match thread. on 22:10 - Oct 7 with 2518 views | aston_hoop | The whole set up at the moment seems so intelligent. Every player knows their role, they seem well drilled. Mick has a way of playing, the players are very clearly responding to it. Hire a top coach, get a team coached to the top of their ability. On the Not the Top 20 podcast they quipped recently that one day Gerrard might end up as Beale's assistant...

Really like Tim and he will be an important player for us this season. So pleased for Dykes. Hopefully Laird was a precaution. Kakay can over. Nice 8 days to recoup and go again. C'mon U R'SSSS. Look at that team spirit😀 Laird has been such a good signing. Obviously a massively positive character both on and off the pitch. This team are buzzing at the moment. But, like Beale said post match he can't let them get to high now or too low when things don't go our way. With Beale at the wheel we're in safe hands.
R's v royals match thread. on 22:26 - Oct 7 with 2034 views | danehoop | I was impressed with Kakay when he came on. He isn't Laird, but came on and did a really good job at a difficult time. Seems to have improved a lot with crossing (or perhaps willingness to cross) and his positioning seemed much better as the game went on. Looks like he is also benefitting from Beale's coaching skills. Genuinely a solid cover for Laird.
