Caged canaries match thread on 20:31 - Nov 2 by QPR_Hibs | Diving cheat Cantwell |
Replay looks like Cantwell grabs chair then falls over. Should have booked him for diving. Can't believe the ref didn't let us take the corner.
Caged canaries match thread on 20:33 - Nov 2 with 1906 views | QPunkR | Why on Earth are we not hurrying to take that corner with the last kick of the half? We look like we don’t want corners after the last couple

Caged canaries match thread on 20:32 - Nov 2 by OldPedro | There is contact but Cantwell is looking to go down. I'd have booked him for diving..... |
Yeah, contact but really not enough to stop him, I'd say, and I am completely unbiased

Caged canaries match thread on 20:35 - Nov 2 with 1850 views | Greenbay | Thank goodness for two excellent Seny saves. Thank goodness the 'post' blocked a Pukki shot! And also well done from some last ditch defensive saves including Dykes - whose always defended well. And as the half wore on we certainly improved and created some half chances with a Tim low shot blockbuster well saved by keeper Gunn. With luck we might get away from Carrow Road with a point or 3. And there's still Willock to come on. [Post edited 2 Nov 2022 20:36]

Cantwell grabbing his shirt as well. Good reffing, on first view I thought we were in trouble. Cantwell is actually a pretty loathsome cheat. We need to take more care of the ball, too much sloppy passing
Caged canaries match thread on 20:36 - Nov 2 with 1797 views | TacticalR | We're hanging on in there. I feel we need something a bit more convincing up front to give Norwich something to worry about.

Caged canaries match thread on 20:38 - Nov 2 with 1735 views | Malintabuk | That will do nicely. A really rotten night and conditions not easy here tonight. Weathered a really difficult first 20 mins when if not for Dieng we could be one down easily But since then we have been quite comfortable and apart from Pukki they have not been a real threat Our midfield is really lightweight and can perm any one of 2 from Amos/Dozell who is coming off for Willock, and I think it will be pretty sharpish as both have been poor Tim as been the pick of our team and apart from Dieng is our best player A blind lucky at then end and Chair could have easily been sent off.... it was a brave decision by the ref there Not too upset with this and be happy if it stays the same
Caged canaries match thread on 20:38 - Nov 2 with 1731 views | aston_hoop | Pukki's movement is on a far superior level to anyone we've faced up front this season, good job his finishing let him down. Quite pleased we actually got back into that one after that first 20 minutes, so do we bring off Iroegbunam or Amos for Willock?

Caged canaries match thread on 20:39 - Nov 2 with 1702 views | QPunkR | Musings on the first half - Cantwell really is a horrible worm. Seny kept us in it and we’ve grown into this match. Thoroughly entertaining fayre so far, proper Championship football!

Caged canaries match thread on 20:40 - Nov 2 with 1655 views | TomS | We were lucky to finish that half at nil all and with 11 players still on the pitch. Dieng has made a couple of great saves, Pukki should have scored too. Chair could easily have been sent off. A lot of 50-50s have gone our way. On the law of probability, a 50-50 will go Norwich's way sometime. It's a great game to watch.....
Caged canaries match thread on 20:41 - Nov 2 with 1637 views | QPRSteve | I think we've done reasonably well so far. I'd like to see Willock come on now to give us more in attack.
Caged canaries match thread on 20:42 - Nov 2 with 1555 views | davman | Bit edgy at times. On the balance of chances, they should be ahead. Cantwell will always go down, but it's Chair the man that gets back. To think people on here have criticised him in the past; he absolutely is someone we won't know just how much we miss him until he is out. Terrible start by Tim, but a massive improvement. Similarly, Laird was poor for 15 minutes, but has turned it around. We do look that we have a mistake in us at the back, which is why it is important we get Willock on; we need more of an attacking threat as I fear that we need to score tonight. Typical Championship fayre though - any of the three results are foreseeable... [Post edited 2 Nov 2022 22:14]

I'd take Amos off. I'm a fan of his but feel he hasn't done much tonight. I think Dozzell might do something good in the second half and Tim is a threat now he has got going.

I think it's the combination of Amos+Dozzell next to each other that's causing us issues, I'd have Dozzell and Tim on opposite sides. McCallum vs Laird has been a very entertaining battle down the right, both playing very well
