Cardiff Match Thread 09:07 - Dec 24 with 32799 views | BlackCrowe | Haven't started one for over a year so here goes... Cardiff half time, QPR full time 25-1, seems tempting. Happy Christmas my fellow boarders.

Bring on Chair of course but leave Willock on: it might have sparked something. Dykes wasn’t great but he should play the whole game. Roberts and Shodipo: no thanks. Was Armstrong injured and not available for the bench? Dozzell lucky to play the whole match. Dunne MOTM for me but best of a mediocre bunch.

We will find out I think next game as I am sure that was his 5th yellow. Presume he will be banned.

I wonder what the issue is with Armstrong? Although we cant rely on him, i thought that his pace and directness in the last 15/20 would of been exactly what was needed.

Maybe NC wants to see how the "vets" do before bringing in our kids? Sure Tim is young, but he's not ours, nor is it likely he will be. For Critchley this isn't just about the next match, he's most likely thinking about next season. Where are the holes and who can he find to fill them? Armstrong is surely a gimme for next August. A bright shiny new coin he doesn't want risk spending in the January window, if a club with a bottomless bank account comes calling.

No, he'll be fine. The cut off point for a five yellows ban was the 19th match.

If he was the finished product he wouldn't be on loan with us, would he? I think he's hugely talented - we have nobody in centre midfield that can push us forward and drift past players like he does. Maybe JoJo when he's fit (which let's face it is rarely these days). Like it or not we're part of his development into a top player. Wouldn't surprise me if he played for England one day.

Armstrong is still very raw. More interested in wrestling the CBs than using his pace to.outstrip them. Not surprised he wasn't included. Glad I didn't see it. 21 shots, 1 on target. Room for improvement?

Yes 4 points away from home in two games is good enough on paper but our performance yesterday was way below decent: Critchley agrees. If we play that badly against Luton and Sheff Utd we will get easily beaten.

Typical academy type. All technical ability with good pace and physicality, but a lot to learn about game management and control. His defensive cover, tracking, marking and positional sense leaves a lot to be desired. Not remotely surprised to see him get a yellow as his tackling is rash and uncontrolled. But he is young and still learning the game. We need to utilise his strengths more and not be too reliant on the areas where he struggles. Definitely missing Johansen alongside Field, playing as holding DCM’s. Chair, Tim and Willock playing in front of them with Dykes up top. Yesterday’s line up did very well at Preston, but looked lost yesterday.
Cardiff Match Thread on 11:56 - Dec 27 with 1810 views | dmm | We can all see Iroegbunam is developing into a very good player, and he certainly brings something to the party for us. However, after playing 15 games he's yet to score or provide an assist. He must work on his final product. As others have said, I'm also concerned he is taking a place in the side our own young players need to develop. Amos and Richards have continual injury issues but will/should they get picked ahead of him when fit and available?

Surely his yellow, on this occasion, was for breaking up their attack with a foul rather than a rash tackle or out of control tackle.
