Too many associated with Welsh football that are still bathing in the 2016 "success". A clean sweep is needed starting with Page and Ramsey. STID.

Got to clear out the dead wood Jack, too right.
Time to be brave, get rid of the likes of Ramsay, utilise the talents of Swansea City and Cardiff City academy’s which the Dutch did in the nineties with their own club sides. Put four years to one side, pick your youngsters well and stick with them.

The FAW are loaded, they need to get rid and get Osian in, he knows the set up, commands respect, has passion and most importantly a football brain.

Yes - Osian as boss, Viera as number 2.

Trouble was Keith that in our monied Prem days, Swans Acadeny chose to bring in about 8 Scots and others instead of developing local welsh qualified lads.
We tried to be clever and get a quick fix.
6 years of Kenji Gorre anyone …?
7 years of Gregor Zabret the Slovenian keeper anyone ?

They blocked the development of Swansea boys.
Only McBurnie was perhaps Prem standard in the end.

Cardiff have been even worse since Rambo and Gunter.
At least Swans had Rodon, Roberts and Dan James.

Only caught the second half which was backs to the wall. Not surprised tbh, I think we’re losing our way and in my opinion we need a change of direction. To qualify we need to win every game which is unlikely.

Don't disagree with the general drift of this, but one of life's little surprises is that Gorre is turning out for Boavista in the Portuguese Primeira Liga. They are mid-table at around 9th.

The job of the Swans Academy is to produce players for the Swans.

It did that very well and continues to do so. If Wales also benefit from that then fine, but it's certainly nothing that anyone at our club should be seeing as a priority or even of secondary importance. We are the ones paying for it after all.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Obviously, and positively I see a lot of promise in what the academy has done in the past few years, that’s where Wales should be looking now.

Certainly these days Wales would be better off fielding Oli Cooper (although as he was born in Derby he might not be Welsh enough for Kilks) over Ramsey, who has been a busted flush for about three seasons now.

The narrative was set when Page decided to turn the World Cup into a retirement party instead of a proper campaign and nobody at the FAW cared enough to stop him doing it.

Let's put things into perspective we have lost a number of quality players in Bale and Allen, Ramsey who has had injury struggle and is now of an age, Gunter held the right back position which allowed Connor to be more effective further forward while helping the defence and we were also missing Ben Davies, you can question the method of play adopted by Page which is very defensive and drop deep even with our best team we were reluctant to push forward and use our best assets.
So we have some quick forwards in James and Johnson but one has struggled at the higher level and the other is new to playing at the higher level but do we now have the quality in the middle of the park to give them a supply of quality ball. Is that down to bad selection, or being loyal to players who enabled some of our better players but do not have the quality.
This campaign now needed to concentrated on helping our better younger players be more effective on the park, an example, would .Neco Williams be better as a full back or further up similar to Connor, how do we build the strength in depth. I though we played quite well in the first half but dropped back too deep conceding ground and reduced our attacking threat which Turkey exploited a number of time creating pressure and chances which was amplified when down to ten men.
Page could be questioned on his selection but obviously would be reluctant to drop stars who have been so effective with us.
Rebuild time for Wales in the middle of the park.

Personally I would go 3-4-2-1 with two wing backs and two holding midfield. We need to be more solid and stop teams cutting right through us. We have enough pace up front to do damage so let the front three interchange. Moore should never start as he restricts our style of play.

Don't like a single forward being run ragged, expected to close down the whole defence, all about cutting out options for players on the ball cutting the pitch into manageable areas. if you leave big areas available to play in teams with quick movement and pace they can work the pitch to create space..
Any formation used must be suited the the players available and be able to expose the opposition weakest players while restricting their best and changed during game if needed

New batch coming through. Wales cannot keep the ball or pass it with accuracy.

Three Swansea drilled by Martin can help in this respect, Cabango, Cooper, Cullen. Jordan James and Harris in the wings need to enter a team with a defined style of play based on possession, movement and accuracy with added threats fro set piece and strong running for James and Johnson.

It is important they are integrated into a much better system than set up buy Page which sees low tempo and yielding of possession cheaply. Players get isolated with no support. There is no one in the side that can do long range accurate passing. Bale could of course. Woodburn might have the class to do his but appears to have lost his way.

Friday night will have brought in £1m alone enough to send Page on his way.

You're giving Martin a lot of credit there. The three You mention were very capable passers and keepers of the ball in the unders and academy. All three are, and were, good at playing the ball with one or two touches.
You are spot on with your assessment of Page and capabilities.
