The run continues and he has been supurb since coming back into the team. As important as Steve Cook is to the team and the squad you have to wonder whether retaining Cook who will need to play for his cost is going to block Morrisons progression. If only Dreamboat Ronnie was ours because they are an excellent pair

if JCS could stay fit they would make a brilliant pairing

I made Morrison my MoM

One of those CB's who never looks too flustered, great positioning, judges headers well but also never does anything too spectacular

Agreed they are wonderful duo

Yes very solid no nonsense defending by Morrison.

Great partnership with Edwards.

Appreciate Edwards, a loan player, likely to be premiership bound at some point, but he has been a key player in gaining vital extra points and shows the importance of using loan system well.

Morrison himself has the potential to have as much impact as Dunne and Field over period of time for us.

Got a lot of time for Liam as a solid dependable player for ourselves.

JCS staying fit is about as likely as me bedding kylie minogue, so we need to plan accordingly

His positioning is superb. Always in the right place to intercept. A natural defender.

Just think the trouble we would have been in only for the loan deal of Edwards he saved us multiple times even if we did go on a losing streak .
His attitude, drive and commitment have been such a bright spot and the fact he is a loan player made no difference to his play .
With Southampton down again is there any chance of a massive sell off and we can grab him.
Oh Morrison is an excellent player also hopefully he can stay fit but if tonight is any indication we are dropping like flies

I expect Edwards to bypass Southampton and go back to the Prem, probably with a promoted side. Far too good for the championship

Edwards is not fast enough for the Prem and Saints know it.
That's why he's on loan with us.

Morrison is quality, a young version of Cook.
Cook will stay, Marti loves him and JCS is always out.

zzzzzzzzzz

A small bright light in a (yet again) dark grim season.

I do like Morrison, physically strong, young and actually has a bit of pace over 10 yards. Just keep him fit.

Really don’t know why Fox started ahead of him / was preferred CB sub ahead of him for that period of time. Really strange.

Had another good game, going to be Mr Consistent if we can keep him fit.

I have also noticed that he does a lot of talking during the game - as well as bollocking players that make stupid mistakes, like Varane at the weekend.

He had some words with Nardi last night, seemingly to settle him down or want him about something, maybe the Ref before the card came.

I suspect he’ll become Cook 2.0 next year but we’ll need some cover for both him and JCS, and having 4 CBs will be as expensive as keeping Cook. Maybe more so.

Bit of a dilemma - nice cars - but problematic for selection

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

Only 22 but looks and plays as though he's at least 10 years older.

Shades of Alan McDonald about him.

Poll: Who is your player of the season?

Amazing that unbeaten run he's having. Madsen and Bennie starting last night was a concern, but I always feel more calm with Morrison on the team sheet too.

Nardi, Morrison, Field is a pretty decent spine for the Championship. Just need to make sure those last two stay fit!

Poll: How old is everyone on here?

Lets face it, we are never ever going to lose a game that he starts in. Not sure why opposition teams bother now to be honest.

I’m not sure we’ll keep Cook. With the emergence of Morrison and Cook’s increasingly fragile body added to his highest wage earner status means there’s a good argument for letting Cook go at the end of the season. Obviously we’ll need to replace him but we should be able to get someone younger and cheaper.
I was hoping Oxford would get relegated and we could put in a bid for Michael Helik but it looks like they’ll stay up after todays result.

He's a top player. Needs a water tight contract. Id go as far to say our biggest player since Eze.

The squad needs experience and Championship know how: get rid of all of Cook, Colback and Fox in the summer severely depletes us IMO. Colback has been great in the last month in particular.
