It's the NFL..again. 15:24 - Sep 7 with 16441 viewsBoston

I'm thinking a 23 - 17 win for the Pats today. Mike Vrabel was a very popular player; hope it goes well for him.

Pat's season? Realistically, happy with a winning record.

Poll: Thank God The Seaons Over.

Well, the bookies were right. Hell of a game.

The bookies might have been right but I thought the refs were shocking in overtime there Boston . The rules official said on the live broadcast the refs are letting the handfighting go and suddenly the flags started flying all in favour of Denver. That catch/interception by Allen in overtime was suspicious also IMO he was down on his back with the ball in his hands to my eyes but it was ruled a pick .
Edit. I have to add to my post after hearing BO Nix the Denver QB broke his ankle on the second to last play yet managed to throw that incredible winning pass to propel Denver into the AFC Championship game and is done for the year.So are Denver now despite their great Defense a back up unknown QB is getting them nowhere

Great game, true play off entertainment for the neutral. Agree, Denver got the calls, also surprised at the officials allowing the pick but most of the talking heads thought it was a close decision, so.
Bad news for Denver with Nix's injury but if the Pats win today...we'll be facing their back up, Stidham who started his pro career down at Foxborough. The local football 'experts', (other blokes walking their dogs down the park this morning), tell me he's steady, but nothing special.

The Squawks annihilation of the Niners was just the opposite of the early game. Beginning with a TD run back from the opening kick-off it was never any sort of contest. It's amazing how quickly this Seattle team has come together. Their "Dark Side" defence is as fast as any I've seen in fifty years of NFL watching. Quite remarkable.

I had them, Seattle, as favs to go the whole way this season. Must admit, I stopped watching early as it wasn't competitive / entertaining.

Almost, *almost* as good as the result itself are the salty tears of the 49ers fans 🤣

They genuinely thought they stood a chance, and it was all over in the first 15 seconds…

Can we not knock it?

Too right brother. Watching us smash those ever arrogant Fortywhiners was an absolute joy to be treasured. I still fear the Rams but no doubt we have a real shot at it all.

You forgot the Bears they are not going to roll over today.1 of the coldest days of the year in Chicago ,savage cross winds, LA have not won a game this year outdoors in frigid temps, worst special teams in the NFL ( Rams I mean ) and facing N0 1 ranked team with 4th quarter wins in NFL history.
Bears have the top ranked Special Teams including Punter/ Kicker , Top ranked defence in interceptions, home crowd in full throat, Coach of the Year and most important incredibly underrated QB in Williams and Tight End Loveland who is unplayable right now see Green Bay.
Stafford is an excellent QB with 2 excellent Wide recievers who will freeze to death and drop all his balls.
Bears 27 LA 17

I really hope you're right Clareman.

Obviously the Bears are a good team but I guess all the years of Mcvay dominating us still scares me more. Both got great Offenses but the Bears D is weaker. I'd rather play them.

Like most of my QPR predictions I got this wrong but at least it included one of the best throws from the Chicago QB (tie up the game) and one of the worst from him in overtime as the Bears were driving which ended up costing them the win.
That winning field goal just squeaked inside that post 5 yards further away and it was going to miss IMO.
Anytime Clive writes up about a freezing cold night in Stoke or Preston just look up this game and the Pats V Texas highlights on Youtube it will warm you all right up

Ah, you've lived 't'up north' long enough to know that it doesn't snow when it's really cold.

The Bronco's game will have an edge that most NFL fans are unaware of - namely their backup QB, Stidham, has a wife who really has it in for New England. The sweet Texas lass was the object of much ridicule by local sports radio when she took exception to her husband's lack of talent being vaunted by a number of talking heads. Sadly, for the young lady, the press started to pay attention to herself, this ended with her stamping her foot and demanding that Bob Kraft have them stop it..or else(what?). Her public whinging is still occasionally referenced on 98.5 the Sports Hub and hubby is expected to want revenge.
