I just loved Jakes interview after last night's game. I must admit I thought he might be feeling disillusioned this season with not playing as often as he may have expected.
How wrong was I.
He was articulate, speaking with real enthusiasm about the team, the manager and the closeness and belief of the squad. He also said how pleased he was to have Pritchard back in the team, a player with skill and experience and one he feels he can learn from.
If anyone has a doubt about the strength of belief and unity that Jim has created in this group they should listen to this interview from a young player not currently in the starting lineup but who sees himself as part of something special.

I've probably been one of Jims biggest critics but i like to give credit where it's due, we're top of the league on merit and he's put together a fantastic bunch of footballers. I was watching them at Tamworth last week in horrendous weather and what really stood out for me was the fight and desire and how much these players care. It's the manager who is responsible for bringing that back into the club. Is he the finished article..far from it. Will he make mistakes along the way...of course he will. The wins at BW, Carlisle and FGR put to bed the notion that we bottle it against the best teams, or that the manager is tactically inept. We need to do it now when they come to Spotland and the onus is on us to take the game to the opposition, i think if McNulty can crack that then his transformation into being one of our best ever managers will be complete and i never thought i would say that.. If he could do that it would also see us going very close to returning to the EFL at the end of the season. It starts with Southend next week. We've all raked over the past perceived failings, let's move on.

I know what you mean highlighting Southend as they are a top 7 team both in stature and current league position - A promotion rival if you like..

We cannot afford to lose sight of an equally important game tomorrow.. winning keeps up the pressure on others around us to do the same.

Eastleigh are no mugs, Halifax aside though we have been excellent at home all season finding a way to win, occasionally in tight games by one goal.. Sutton 1-0 Aldershot 1-0 perfect examples of that ruthless winning obsession that wins league titles.

I cant wait for tomorrow. I will add to the pitch thread but well done the club for renting the dome that last 3 hours of rain would have caused a postponement tomorrow without doubt.. Asda car park is flooded looks like Hollingworth Lake!!

He was challenged, both via a post in response and via a downvote, which i nullified

He was simply saying in his own way what both you and i are saying in these exchanges, in a more detailed way

I disagreed with his final comment, as I thought it unnecessary, unwarranted and nothing to do with the thread topic. He posted the same thing three months ago, since when we've only failed to win three times in the league and are currently top of the table.

I believe the upvote and downvote options are there for agreements and disagreements, hence why I downvoted.

You mean you STILL haven't worked out why some posts get down-ticked?

That's precisely what they're for

That's why i upvoted since i agreed with his continuing concerns, although i probably wouldn't have done so without the downvote which i thought was unfair

I made direct reference to why i thought he was right in subsequent posts

Difference of opinion
