Joe Moores was playing for England Under 19 as a 17 year old over the winter so is highly rated. Lancs are ravaged by injuries and the batting is not yet firing. Fair play to Livingstone for playing so soon after getting back from India. Get Wood, Salt and Buttler back in the team and we might have a chance. | | | |

Keaton Jennings (captain) played the wrong shot, at the wrong time, that an U11s player would get told off for by his/her coach.
Hurst has got his Crawley knock this season so is secure despite being insecure.
Livingstone looked exactly like he did last year when coming back from IPL, timing off, bowling off. Will take a few games to re-aclimatise (see Salt, Wood, Buttler)
Moores is a pint sized powerful young man. Batted superbly in tough situation.
Singh looked good too towards the end and we know what we get with Green.
Hartley got his obligatory golden duck to match his finals day one when Balderston was told to retire for him. Go Tom!
Bowling.
Saq looked good both opening spell and towards the death.
Hartley, Green, Livinstone ineffective
Balderstone medium pace actually quite effective (for once)
Aspinwall. Asked to bowl death over to 10 and 11 with 1 wicket needed. (Their opener was not batting as heavy collision/stretcher job)
It’s a fine line death bowling. He got ramped for one that was a tad too short, next ball was the killer, a wide full toss that was edged for four.
We’d had to bowl Saq and others out to get back into game so unfortunately young Tom got the last one at the end.
Obv the IPL players will strengthen us, but so would the return of injured players.

Buttler will 'need a rest' and Salt may not have recovered from his finger injury which saw him miss the final. I cannot see any reason why Wood does not play as he has not featured in a single IPL game. | | | |

I went to the game, and it was hard to believe those last 11 deliveries, especially when the last over started against a number 10 who hadn't even faced a ball. They needed 12 from the last 3 balls but Luke wood got hit for 6 then bowled a no ball/ free hit which left 3 from the last ball. their number 10 then ramped it over the top for 4. Outside of Harris the team is realluy struggling to get runs. Bohannon's form has fallen off a cliff and there is a revolving door at opener, alongside Jennings. Back to the T20 now where hopefully Buttler and Salt are available. | | | |
