Just having a look on the Aldershot Town forum and there's a thread in respect of away support in the National League. A graph has been compiled that shows us top of the league when it comes to our away support in percentage of each clubs home attendances. We average 515 away supporters at every game. Sorry, i'm not tech enough to transfer the graph on to this thread but it's worth taking a look at.
There can be no doubt that the fans have played their part this season and that particular statistic proves that. I doff my cap to all those fabulous supporters who travel all over the country putting in the hard yards and spending what must be a absolute fortune. If anybody deserves a win at Wembley on Sunday then those fans deserve it just a tiny bit more i think. Let's give some credit where it's due. [Post edited 7 May 9:18]

Miles Row: Shows total miles to see all away games by club. Any Truro fan who has done all 23 at 14.4K miles should be lauded to the hills and back
Factor Row and Adjusted Row: Using the above miles calculation divided by overall average miles for clubs they have calculated a factor - which when applied to AVERAGE number of fans, results in an ADJUSTED number of fans. Intention of this is to take into consideration distance travelled into support.
What is not included but i would say is an additional factor is team performance. We wouldn't have had 679 at Braintree for example if we were 13th in the league.
So with this additional consideration - Aldershot notably stand out with 14.5% |  |

Yes, that's true. Having a winning team obviously helps and Aldershots numbers are commendable, as are Halifax in comparison to their very poor home crowds. [Post edited 7 May 11:47]

Its nice to see and credit to those die hard supporters although I'm not into crowd counting and you don't win anything for topping a table like this.
Hopefully we can get close to Project 5000 for home attendances next season- that's what puts £'s into the kitty. | |
