It’s a good idea to try and discourage the tactic.
It became increasingly tedious when we did it last season. Seemed to be tempting fate by doing it so much. Can only cry wolf so much. |  |

Chances are, the mere threat of having a player/captain leaving the field will put a stop to it
In the scenario where the keeper is genuinely injured: when this happens to an outfield player, they're required to wait by the touchline until the ref sees fit to allow them back onto the field. This trial is basically an extension of that rule, since the keeper can't be asked to wait on the touchline! |  |

Just make all the players stay in the centre circle while the keeper is treated. Simple. No need to complicate matters. |  |

Missing the point, which is to disrupt the flow of the game
Plus, it's really not "complicating matters". As i've pointed out, the existing rule about players waiting on the side of the pitch after going off (apparently) injured is simply being extended to the keeper... who can't go off, so a team-mate does instead. Makes sense, since the outcome is it'll very likely stop happening | |

It will also stop happening if the players aren't allowed to go to the side of the pitch for a tactics talk with the manager/coaches so its not missing the point - just dont allow them to do it and it will soon stop. | |
