Great 3 points, Flint does the no nonsense defending but I thought Wilson had a much better game today and he carries the ball out of defence really well. Now we're looking a threat at the other end as well and plenty of firepower off the bench when they tire. Not getting carried away but things look a whole lot better than a few weeks ago. | | | |

Wilson looks so much better playing alongside Flint who has transformed the defending from chaotic to no nonsense. Tasker also had a much improved game.

Seems imperative that Flint's deal is extended until at least the end of the season now if possible and Sherring will need to show more than he has thus far. Remarkable that Moss carried on playing with an ACL injury last week. There was a long stoppage in the first half when he went down, amazing if it happened then and he didn’t go off.

That stoppage had me thinking he'd done serious damage
It was a stretched challenge, Moss being whole-hearted and i too was surprised when he was able to carry on
Perhaps, in retrospect it might've been better if he hadn't

A hard fought win in the end and you have to admire the resilience when down to 10 men.
Far from a lucky win though, which you could probably say of the Oldham game - Fleetwood never really created too many chances instead opting for speculative long range efforts which did well to stay within the ground. Even their goal came from nothing - disappointed that their player wasn’t closed down more and not sure if the keeper shouldn’t have got something on it.
First 20 mins was really enjoyable - probably the best I’ve seen us play under Watson so far. Browns goal really well taken and came from us utilising the wingers - both did really well today. Sometimes tho it felt like they were getting to the byline but there was no one there to get on the end of it. The sort of position Mani D might find himself in.
TAR got two soft yellows - the second could easily have been a talking to from a more sensible ref, but he gave a whole lot of soft free kicks all game so TAR should have known not to give him a reason.
Flint was immense again at the back. First half I wasn’t impressed with Tasker who I thought was too slow on the ball and got us into trouble on more than once occasion. He was better second half moving further up the pitch.
Pleaser we managed to see it out and that’s now 3 games unbeaten. |  | | |

Watson’s interview gives an indication that he’s determined to stick to his process and that we are now getting results shows the players are prepared to buy into that too.
He made a lot about being brave with the ball, as seen with the first goal. We may have to get used to the odd goal conceded playing out still, he won’t be for changing that’s for sure. Did I like it at times today? No. But that is indeed an example of resilience and commitment to principles.
Nearer the playoffs than the relegation zone!
Oh and Oldham are as bad as was thought. | |

At 2-1 a perfect cross went across for Brown to head in. He managed to get his head on it but was dangling from his shirt being pulled back as absolutely obvious as anybody but the ref could see. Absolute stonewall penalty.

Flint 3/3 for awesome performances. Wilson was fantastic today too. No coincidence and wonder how many points from last 3 we would have had without him.

Although it’s slightly hypocritical after a discussion at the game today about us having so many players and making do with what we have, noticed Max Clark was playing for the PFA teams recently. Always thought he was a solid left back.
However, if we can make it through next week with maybe Hannant or Francis at left back, TAR will be fine there until Beckwith hopefully returns soon. | |
