At least he is in our camp ahead of the Wimbledon game, which can only help us in that game. Hope he comes back an improved more confident player.

I believe McShane has been offered a deal - by us and others.

Looks ok most games" "Delaney bailing out PK when he was outmuscled time after time after time. Excellent blocks by Delaney who surely we must keep beyond January "
Ryan Delaney on 12:44 - Jan 6 with 2736 views | EllDale | If we want to play the tippy-tappy pass it across the back sort of football I don't think he's suited to it. If you want a physical stopper type of centreback he's your man,

If that is a reasonable snapshot of opinion on Ryan Delaney he could be an asset.....if he replaces MJ that cannot be bad? | | | | Login to get fewer ads
Ryan Delaney on 13:12 - Jan 6 with 2594 views | ChaffRAFC | We can only go off what we've seen and what we've seen is a central defender who never seems to be able to stop his man from scoring from set pieces. I lost count how many times last season when watching highlights back as to whose man had scored that it was Delaney's. Unless he's improved an awful lot, I would hope we're taking steps to get him off the wage bill.

Can he go on loan again? He's played for us and Wimbledon. Isn't there some rule saying you can only play for 2 clubs?

Ryan Delaney on 17:21 - Jan 6 with 2124 views | isitme | If he has played a competitive game for us this season he can't play for anyone else. A player can only play for two clubs in anyone season. I think that's right anyway?

I think he was an unused sub for 6 of our first seven games and then went missing. The Maestro will be on to confirm.

I’m not the maestro but he was unused so he can move on if necessary. Saturday will be telling if he’s in the squad or not

Ryan Delaney on 00:01 - Jan 7 with 1423 views | Toffeemanc | If he's back to stay then we may as well send Magloire back to Blackburn as he definitely isn't up to the standard required either and we can't afford to carry both on the wage bill. From Magloires' brief appearances so far I would rather take a chance on Delaney having improved as I don't see anything in Magloire that puts him ahead of Delaney.

I can’t agree with that, to assess him we would need to see him in his correct position in a run of games . He has pace, and is highly regarded at Blackburn so he must be a decent player

By all accounts Magloire played well at Gillingham and he did well at Accrington when playing at right back so I think it's harsh to completely write him off after such a brief look in which he's played the majority out of position. We've seen Delaney for 18 months.

Thought Magloire did okay at Accrington, especially in the first half. I haven't actually seen him play at centre-back yet, but think it would be harsh to claim he isn't up to it at centre-back based on a few performances at right-back on the back of an injury lay-off, one of which was against a Premier League side. Having seen Delaney quite a lot I think I can safely say he definitely isn't up to the standard - particularly not to play the way that BBM wants us to play.
