I used my phone to get in and eventually realised it only worked if you zoomed in on the screen to make the bar code bigger. Personally the option to add to apple wallet would be great but not sure how easy it would be to implement. Also, if the turnstiles all have the equipment for this, why were so many closed? Maybe there should be as many gates open as possible until people get used to its quirks like changing the barcode size etc.
For some, It's 'science fiction' technology like star trek replicators and tricorders, not easy to get to grips with for some of the old-uns.

Have photographed the barcode from my SC onto my phone so it can be expanded when I get to the scanner on Tuesday. Hopefully that may help.
I suspect the system is a bit of a half-arsed attempt by Bottomley to save cash on turnstile staff and has been done on the cheap, we're stuck with it. Certainly not like getting into somewhere like the Etihad, which is a piece of piss.
Hopefully it can be tweaked so that todays shambles isn't repeated. |  |

Don’t think it needs to be over-thought going forward when there’s an obvious and simple solution to employ a turnstile operator in an unused turnstile in each stand where people can pay cash/use tickets. Equip them with a card which can swipe people through if all turnstiles are linked to this system. |  |

Speaking yesterday to one of the operators, every block of turnstiles has 1 operator as opposed to 3 individual operators with the old system, then there is one outside operator with a hand held scanner which is how I got in as the Sandy Land scanner was showing the wrong game when season cards were scanned, how the hell that could happen is beyond me....I got there before 2 because I can't go through the turnstiles so I have to scan my card and go through the gate, the operator wouldn't let me scan my card without the guy with the hand scanner doing it, he was nowhere to be seen so all hell ensued with cards not working and crowds building, this is a half arsed system bought on the cheap by you know who....God help us when we play Oldham and the place is rammed if it's not sorted quickly, I'll be contacting the club by email later to see what if anything can be done.... |  |

TVOS, with the queue building and need for nicotine to get me through the 90 minutes I didn’t get chance to get a programme yesterday & in all honesty didn’t take my reading glasses either..
A few people around me had one though, I either need full time glasses or have they done smaller this season? | |

They must have sold a few yesterday. They had run out at 2.25pm on Sandy Lane and as we were queueing somebody brought a handful out. Sold out again within 5 minutes and took his stand in. But to be fair to the club somebody came to people who had clearly asked for one it brought it direct to their seat. Also there was a fella with cleaning fluids prepared to wipe the bird shite off you seats on demand. So the at seat service worked a treat.
