Other than Dale players who over the yrs have been a favoutite player or a player who you enjoyed watching....
For me two players stood out Tony Currie and Duncan Mackenzie...
Two real talents and great to watch....

My all time favourite Dale player Mr Lyndon Symmonds

Another Lineker vote from me. I was Lineker growing up scoring goals in my garden. Gazza (Italia 90 version) gets a vote too.

Its a BRILLIANT goal to cap a BRILLIANT start by Rochdale - Don Goodman 26/08/10

Agree with OP, 2 of the most naturally gifted players of the time.

I'll chuck in Stanley Bowles and I always enjoyed watching Charlie George.

YOU do not have the right to give someone else permission to tell me what I can and can't do.

Obviously I have a smaller pool to choose from cause I'm a bit younger than you lot.

From my Tottenham side, Ginola, Modric, Bale and Van Der Vaart.

Otherwise, I always enjoyed watching Di Canio, Zola, Beckham and (as much as I hate to admit it) Bergkamp and Henry.

Tangled up in blue.

In modern times - Iniesta, plays the game beautifully and the way it should.

Going back a bit, King Kenny was superb. Honourable mentions to Cantona, Jan Molby.

On our level, always had a grudging respect for Kevin Ellison.

Cantona. Without doubt my favourite player ever away from Dale. Love him or hate him, he was without doubt CLASS.

Leader of the little gang of immature cretins.

Modern day, I could watch Cristiano Ronaldo play football all day, absolute genius, same with Messi and Iniesta.

There are three types of favourite for me.

Pantomime villains, who you love to boo but would probably be good lads to have on your side. Kevin Ellison and Efe Sodje are two of these.

Mad goalies - Tony Roberts and (going back a few years) Harvey Lim.

Players far too good to be playing against Dale - Jason Puncheon in his Barnet days, Kelvin Langmead at Shrews.

Thierry Henry and Dennis Bergkamp are the only ones from my early football watching days, that I would have payed to see, they were just a class above.

Thomas Mueller and Mezut Ozil I love watching, pure class, and the right attitude about the game now.

Life is a game of fate.

You're right about Dempsey there, massively underrated player.
