Obviously if we were fans of another club and a team were scoring winners in the 94th and 90th mins we'd probably be saying the same. It's nice to hear nice things being said all the same.
I must admit the steak pie was quality in the main stand. 6 fikin quid though? Have they gone up? Premier league pies are cheaper. I think 4-50 5 quid is fair.
Another positive from the Truro game was the increased home attendance, nearly a extra thousand fans. Maybe the word has got out around the Town that exciting things are happening up at Spotland and there's a team that is worth supporting. I would have liked to see some sort of promotional offer on three of the next home games, three games for the price of two. We've had this discussion before though.
What is going on with the rule changes and stewards. Causing a load of conflict, upsetting long standing fans, being aggressive and rude with fans, stopping people going in the bar at half time, stopping people from smoking in the smoke area with no warning, threatening to kick people out, it’s not good for the club, the search is excessive at the turnstiles ! the friendly stewards don’t understand where the rules are coming from they said they are just being told to enforce them, some of the stewards are aggressive !, it’s not ok, shoving people and talking to fans like they don’t matter, the club need to talk to the fans and realise it’s affecting the match day experience, shocking today
Cant for the life of me think of the last time this happened? Even rarer a 1-0 injury time winner. There can't be any better way to win a game certainly for team spirit and feelgood factor. The perfect way to lead upto our homecoming on Saturday.
This has always been an excellent night on the Thursday before Easter, very popular and has always raised a good few quid. I hope it will happen and not be a missed opportunity.
This will be a serious test for us to overcome on Wednesday. Solihull are much improved from the team we thrashed earlier in the season. It's not a situation where we can hope to score the odd goal and ride it out as we are inclined to do. Outside of the top seven they are the team to be most wary of. Their ability to score goals marks them out as a very dangerous outfit. They are capable of punishing you as several teams have found to their cost. I hope we are at our best, take our chances and don't settle back if we score. Hanging on to a one goal lead will not work with these as Carlisle discovered yesterday. Buckle up, I think it could be a tricky one, the first of many over the next few weeks.
Been rearranged for the 27th. So frustrating for me having spent best part of £400 on attending the other two postponed/sbandoned fixtures, I can't now do this date due to business commitments. It does mean we have a lot of big games over the 4 weeks from next week. Enjoy the ride
Stumbled across an obituary this morning, passed in September of last year at the grand old age of 88. With Dale 1965-66 and according to Wiki "Supporters found out about his release before he did"
I see his name a couple of times via the Forum search function, but not specific to his passing.
