Agree about Gillam but not convinced with Daniels either, he's been caught under the ball quite a bit.

And there was me thinking that Daniels had an excellent game, but everyone entitled to their opinion

He looks a different player centrally. Much better on the ball than at full back when he seemed unsure.

Yes, it was a non league side but he did really well. Hope we don't think that 4 at the back is a winner again though, Bunney and Rafferty are much better further up the pitch and we need two central strikers at Bradford; Calvin and Done with McNulty back in and Gillam and Inman back on the bench.

Plus, expect to see the lucky white socks at Valley Parade too.

Solid, professional, workmanlike and effective performance by Dale tonight. A job well done.

Staying on in the venue of choice, we watched the post-match coverage.
An advert appeared on the TV, showing very thin children clamouring for water. Oxfam. Next thing you know they are asking you to text BUCKET and give money. Are things really that bad in bury ??

Thought he had a great game at centre half. 2 games on the trot excelling in that position, which has been a weakness for some time..... Makes you think.......

Tonight was Dale's biggest-ever away win in the FA Cup, beating 3-0 victories at Rhyl (Nov 1949), Gillingham (Dec 1951) and Nuneaton (Nov 1986).

When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

No idea where there would be any negativity tonight - we were competitive and solid, they didn't really look like scoring bar a couple of squeaky moments which you'd expect in a game like that. Outclassed them for most of the game and a very professional performance.

I thought Andrew and Daniels were Dale`s two best players with Bunney not far behind. Slough didn`t play badly at all and had a couple of half chances as well as being very unlucky with their effort late on that hit the bar with Lillis well beaten, but overall I thought Dale were far and away the better side. A very pedantic referee didn`t help either side,he could`ve played on on several occasions instead of pulling the game back for nothing tackles, but I`m sure Hilly would`ve been very happy. On to Donny, let`s hope Dale keep playing football like this to the end of the year and beyond.

Calvin deserved MOM.

workmanlike / professional / job done....

gives us an away day now in Jan and every chance of progression although Donny are a good side especially at home.

I think its £72k from BT Sport!!

and £18k for winning the tie so £90k for the nights work!! excellent.

£27,000 for winning in Round Two plus - £18,000 for winning in Round One. Add to the £72,000 from BT for TV broadcast and that's £117,000 so far.

£27 for r2; £18 for r1. So we have £45,000 for winning, plus TV plus a bit of gate money. We've also got a bit from the Checkatrade.

So far, a rough estimate would be about £150,000 from both competitions.

now await the questions

"where's all the bloody money going?" and
"why don't we spend that cup money on bringing in some decent players?"

Come on we know you're desperate to ask!!!

Hasn't the Checkatrade win bonuses and initial 'entrance fee' now reached £ 60k. Add that to FA Cup winning bonuses and tv fee and I think we have £ 177k for the coffers.

Probably a tough one to work out, but last night there were 81 places between us and Slough Town. Is that a Dale record for biggest gap between opponents in a professional (as in, non-friendly) match?

It's hard to work out as the pyramid system as we know it now wasn't in place in such a structured way in days of yore.

The United Cup game in 86 could rival it (in the other direction)
