I see Rafferty hasn't featured for PNE in a while, if he is out of favour. Would it be worth considering approaching them, to get him on loan till the end of the season? The reality is that clever recruitment is going to be necessary in the next seven months or so.
Whatever happens in this window, by the end of July we could potentially need three new centre backs to replace O’Connell, McShane and McNulty, a new right back to replace McLaughlin and a leftback which is a position we haven’t had a permanent specialist available in for five years, rather using a succession of loan players and blokes shifted from other positions.
In addition Ryan could be moving on as a look at his career sees him tend to go elsewhere as each contract expires.
Oh, and a new keeper would be desirable as well.

We have a far better chance of getting Luke on loan than raff James. I think wolves would be quite happy for him to be back here playing every week, I would guess only reason he has not been here all season is covid and them wanting to integrate him into their set up.

Very interesting.
At nearly 40% accuracy with 0.22 rumours per day, it does tend to suggest that the Guardian are more reticent about publishing rumours until there's a degree of certainty.
Also, some moves do appear to be 'on' but fall-through for whatever reason.

What you also need to remember is that agents are responsible for most newspaper/broadcast transfer rumours. Their motives are not always pure and a lot of the time the player doesn’t even know they are doing it.
