I'd imagine it's to eliminate absolutely any chance of misunderstanding as to how many goals need to be scored to win the bet.
I'm sure it was at Dale where there was a sweep on the minute of the first goal, and there was havoc afterwards as people argued whether the 12th minute was 12 minutes and x seconds, or 11 minutes and x seconds because that is technically the 12th minute of the game. |
butthere are no fractions of goals like there are fractions of minutes. Over 6 clearly and unambiguously means 7 or more and excludes 6. 5.5 clearly and unambiguosly means 6 or more and so includes 6.
Like TVOS I am always puzzled by the need to revert to what is on the face of it is a strange concept of a fraction of a goal (as opposed to goal average, no longer used, that had a clear meaning). | | | |

Not too much separating the teams at half time...Lund had a shot fizz just wide of the post and generally; we've kept them at bay.
One lapse of concentration from Keohane let them in when he allowed a long ball from Smith to go over him as though there was no danger, without realising there was a man behind him who squared it for a scuffed finish.

BBM obviously heard the criticism on here for being too attacking and has tried a more defensive formation which has nullified Lund & Rathbone's attacking effect. Dooley has been excellent pressing & interceptions and Baah has been better in that side of the game but entertaining it ain't. | |

Been a chess like game so far we're playing reasonably well and had more chances. Unfortunately they put one in and it was a late run late into the box that wasn't covered, hard to say who was to blame Lund or Rathbone I should imagine.
