As I said a few weeks ago we re club going nowhere. Been watching since 1973 but the last 3 seasons have been dog-shite. The owners don’t care, the management don’t care, the players don’t care so why should we?

Truly painful watching the 70 minutes Chris Willock spent on the pitch via the ESPN + stream here in America. Seeing it live in Lancashire rain must be far worse. The spry, sprightly 'dancing feet' he usually has when receiving the ball completely absent. He has gone from our best player to one of our worst. I would guess it is a fitness and confidence issue but who knows? Does not deserve place in starting eleven. On the stream in the first half you could hear the Scottish accent of Scott Brown screaming at his team to keep the intensity up and they did. | |

Well the BBC final score just showed a clip of us on the attack in the box and their player taking a shocking dive which the referee gave. Typical s**thousery and awful officials.
Not taking away our poor performance but we seem to get hoodwinked by every team we play with by the dark arts. It's pathetic and why I don't really watch much football any more, it just makes me angry! |  | | |

If we had failed to lose today (I'm already using past tense, note....) then the magnitude of the real upset would have been utterly staggering.

You are better off accepting that most teams and most players at Championship level regard cup games as a mixed blessing. Even if they want to win they won't bust a gut to do it. Not a case of not caring. Not a case of incompetence. It's just that the priority is not there.
