Who was there? 19:57 - Apr 13 with 2441 views | Southamptonfan | This is what you call a proper great escape, with players giving their absolute all. All out attack that day, as we had to win the game. Just look at the celebrations in the Archers Road stand. [Post edited 13 Apr 2023 19:58]

Wasn't there a story that some fella had a bet on us winning 3-0 with Monkou scoring first? [Post edited 14 Apr 2023 8:48]

Who was there? on 10:08 - Apr 14 with 2055 views | Buggalugs | Yep, another one in the Archers, second block in from the East stand, about halfway up, right on the aisle. Loved having my season ticket in there. Happy days.

Who was there? on 12:41 - Apr 14 with 1992 views | franniesTache | Block five of the Archers for me, which was better than having to jib into the disabled section behind the dug out for the 6-3 as i couldn't get a ticket.
Who was there? on 13:08 - Apr 14 with 1967 views | Hollywood56 | West stand, Milton road end for me, great day even better night and a sore head the next day.
Who was there? on 20:52 - Apr 14 with 1836 views | TimSaint | Yes - Superb game to watch Had a ST alongside 2 others that now only go occasionally. Lower East, Don't remember the block number and my Old STs are in the loft, but as you look over from the West Stand, we were to the left of the Halfway Line. Regarding the game itself, it still amazes me that people remember the 6-3 game as the one where United changed shirts !! (Even Jonathan Pearce quoted this on his MOTD commentary when we beat Sunderland 8-0). Pure quality from LeTiss for his goal - brilliant footwork. I know a Man Utd fan who had that Grey Shirt at time, but stopped wearing it after that game, as people kept saying they couldn't see him when he wore it down the pub !! He definitely wouldn't fit in it these days either !! :-) 4 of us drove up to Bolton a couple of weeks later and saw us win 1-0, courtesy of another Le Tiss goal and that win really gave us the belief that we could stay up. The last game was not a classic. 0-0 v Wimbledon, but it was enough in the end - although I think Man City in the other game, heard we were behind and took their foot off the gas !! :-)

Who was there? on 22:53 - Apr 14 with 1766 views | luffy22 | Yep, archers road, block 5, row 10. That was the only real ‘Great escape’ often mimicked by other fans who have no idea what it was all about Used to love football back in them days. Now it’s just a pile of horse poo and I haven’t been to a so called top flight game in years. Also there when Frankie scored Also there for all the manU thrashings And there when Alan ball wore his hat back to front and looked a proper tw4t And Peter read was a thick northern bas’tard with a sh1te football team And being 1-0 down with 2 mins to go and still beating Newcastle 3-1 (foggy memory on that one) And the Bruce gronblar days
Who was there? on 23:18 - Apr 14 with 1761 views | Southamptonfan | Some great memories. Incidentally, I was in the West stand lower, very close the tunnel, near the disabled section. Many managers had to take that walk down the touchline towards the dugout. The Dell was very special. I miss the old place. [Post edited 14 Apr 2023 23:19]
