I see that Davis has scored 19 goals in 143 appearances (of which 34 were in the EPL). That seems quite modest for a "striker". Do you expect him to up his scoring rate with us? | | | |

In darlings defence he is often finding himself isolated out wide covering when Ashby goes forward. He’d already had to give away a cynical yellow card in the first half because he was stuck out there on his own. The winger was having a field day against him after that.
The system has a lot to do with it. | |

Talking to more informed folk than me he has many other attributes to enable the sides he plays for score or make opportunities.

Just counting his league appearances by stats. If he’s a ten plus goal forward with Yates, if he can get over his disastrous performance on Saturday sounds ok to me. But then I’m more half full on most things.As I said more informed people than me rate him. It’s more about what else he offers than being another goal scorer.

Players seeking advice from the bench instead of coaches telling players how to counter the changes does not sit well with me. I agree its early in the season, but I feel we have more options than recent years. Personally I expected more. | |

Duff should have gone to a back 4 and put someone in front of key to help him out.
If he had done that who knows what could have happened.
I'm quite surprised that he didn't change it and I hope he has learnt as other teams will target key whilst he's playing LWB. | | | |
