The plan seems to be to raise taxes like IHT and Capital Gains and maybe on Non-Doms etc. whilst changing the rules to borrow more.
There a realistic risk here, if the tax income does not increase as planned, the very rich can work their way around these increases, and if growth is slow then the cost of borrowing increases as bond rates will go up as confidence is lost in the money markets and we will have a slow burn Liz Truss effect.

With all that is happening in the World having some gold makes a lot of sense right now.

Security see, straight from Starmers playbook.

This Spring statement, it's going to be more of a mini budget surely?

I have noticed there is a petition to raise the tax allowance for the state pension to 20k, what will she do?

I would eat humble pie and add Rach to my Xmas Card list if she increased it to £20k .

For now and still working and in good heatlh so far , my annual wage from a part time job will be deducted tax wise from my State Pension , now my minimum wage is taxed again .

My Personal Allowance leads to questions why are you still working and paying taxes .
Sadly I dread to think where my hard earned tax deductions are going , I have ideas .

Go Rach and I will forgive you over the Sabrina Carpenter freebies .

10 year bond rates have hit 4.8 percent, now above Truss budget effect!

More cuts after last week's cuts?

Never mind, those with cuts in their benefits can look at the ships they have paid for.

The pips are going to squeezed this afternoon (pardon the pun) but the cuts are going to cut deep, I don't think this is what a lot of Labour voters voted for.

If this doesn't produce results I can't see Rachel lasting much longer

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Last year's budget has already been eaten up by around £14 Billion.
No real change in direction, growth forecast down in the short term, tax rises on the Autumn are now baked in.

VED is included in her calculations.

Some good news, not that you’d know about it from reading some of the news outlets.

UK growth for February has been revised upwards from 0.1% to 0.5%, it’s not massive but it’s a positive development.

It’s early days but improving the economy, raiding dodgy barbers and increasing the numbers being deported are all steps in the right direction. Surprised nobody has already mentioned it already !!!

Good news doesn’t. Like the millions of additional NHS appointments.

It needs to be a prolonged strategy, not a gimmick for the BBC cameras.

The bbc reports 265 raids over the past month.

Lots still to do but appears to be a pretty emphatic start.

If it's a gimmick there's nothing stopping it happening before the last election.

It's a start.

Absolutely needs ramping up, but the question is why didn’t the previous government do anything about it? In terms of this and deporting/ returning people, they’re being completely shown up.

Fair question, but even what is happening now seems less impressive than the headlines about "deportations" suggest. Deportations are a subcategory of "enforced returns", which apparently barely exceed a quarter of total returns. Most returns are voluntary returns and involve cash for the returnees.
